I admire your enthusiasm to revise your armor. That's great Phillip, and will surely lead to an amazing suit.

I am late to the party, but great job so far. Lots to work on but a very acceptable start. It may even get aporved as is. It all depends on your GML. Mine still has many inacuracies that I am not happy with. I am always working to improve them. Keep up the good work. I love the attitude.

Dear Toyhunter, dear Tangofett, hello you all, many many many thanks for your posts. It´s really good to get such a feedback. GREAT !!!! This is pushing me to work harder and precise on the further "changes". Hope i will get a result you all will like, but i´ll do my best. At the end, we all want to get approved and to fight for the glory of the emperor. Once again thanks to all of you. The next pics will come..... Yours Philip P.S. I hope that one day i can be able to help another GM-Builder like you help me this time.

As has been said, this one is not easy. We make a lot ourselves and right now everyone's build looks a little different because so much of it has to be scratch built. You are coming along nicely.

When I started my GM build, everyone one this site were the best!!! They really made it easy for me to put together the most hardest (I think) clone trooper costumes out there. Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Philip, I admire your progress but there's still some things you need to work on if you're going for 501st approval. First off, your left shoulder bell looks to be way too long. In fact, it should be a tad shorter than the right bell which it currently is not (your right bell still appears to be too short as well...it's hard to say without seeing it on you) Second, your forearms look ok but they still seem kind of wonky to me for some reason. They look more like straight cans or pieces of pipe and they should have a slight taper to them. Also, the triangular flat areas appear too wide. I can't say much about the soft parts on your jumpsuit as I'm not quite familiar enough yet with it to offer critique, so hopefully someone else will chime in. Third, your epaulets are still too short on the front panel (don't know what the back of yours looks like). That part should hang down more over the front of your shoulder so you'll probably want to extend that piece down some and clean up the paint, it appears brushed on. Fourth, your backpack is much improved but it still needs more improvement. I think it still looks much too large and the shape of the main back piece is still not quite right. The side pieces connected to it appear too small (possibly as a result of the main backpack piece being so large) and are not the right shape. The bottom pouches are too big and the wrong color (they're not white but more of a tan color) and they're the wrong shape as well. Your thermal det looks too long and kind of boxy, but it's hard to tell from the pics. I would highly recommend you take another look at the reference pics provided in the armor section and study them some more and do comparison shots with your armor. I'd hate to see you do all this work only to get deferred approval and have to go back and rework everything again that you've been working so hard on. Please don't take this all as a harsh criticism, I'm merely trying to help you get where you want to be ...faster Good luck!

Hello to you all, hello to redkraytdragon, thanks for the critism on my pictures. The epaulets i made like this : www.flickr.com/photos/18057107@N00/361309299/in/photostreamthe left shoulderbell is just formed, will be trimmed in the right length after attaching both bells on the armor. I´m also not really glad with my backpack. (watching further ref pics and do some work in it) The forearms are also just formed as well, they need also some shapening. New pics will come. Thanx for your great help. Philip

The mantle has to be bigger, when I get a chance I will measure mine and post up the measurements.

Quick catch: Don't forget that the cowl needs to go along the entire bottom length of the helmet. It needs to come down from the front of your helmet (down the muzzle) and connect in the back. This will also keep your neck from being visible.
