Hi folks. My name is Ben B. I am finishing my Tie Pilot uniform to submit and join the 501st by the end of summer (Hopefully). You have put together a great site with uniform info and such. The Galactic Marine uniform is next on my list. Being in the USMC in the past, I was so glad that the Marines were finally represented in the SW Universe. My three daughters have gotten big into creating costumes of there own and they can't wait until they turn 18 to join the 501st. Keep up the good work and Semper Fi.

DarthTuapawa from 'The Home of the Clones' signing in. Been doing the costume thing since '04, done a Biker Scout and sold that last year to fund my ARC trooper (which is currently going through it's third round of upgrades). A Galactic Marine has always been high on my costume wishlist, and I'm keen on acquiring a secondary costume for events where I don't feel like covering every inch of my body with plastic Don't want to start on the GM project until I'm finished with the ARC, but there's plenty of planning and research to be done while I wait. Looking forward to getting involved with this little community, I really like the approach you guys have taken with this forum, the fan-fic and background bios really adds a whole new level to the hobby. Armour with meaning, very cool! See you Marines online

Hey DT. It's good to see you over here. If you put in as much effort into your marine as you have with your ARC you will easily have a nicer set of GM armor than ANYONE else.
Welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys Great to hear you like the ARC youngling, I've been viewing your GM build threads and have had a boost of inspiration myself, two thumbs up! Glad to see your doing well Jason, haven't heard from you in a bit, I'm keen to see how your Clone projects are coming along

They are going kind of slow at the moment. Besides working A LOT, the first TC kit (that I was going to turn into either an ARC or EP II regular) from JM was too small, so I sold it and my new kit should be arriving any day now. I have most of the stuff for my marine but I am waiting for my custom backplate to start assembling and painting just so the paint will all be the same shade by painting everything at one time.

Sounds like your Marine isn't to far off then, looking forward to seeing both costumes finished!

It's not too far off, but the assembly is kind of scaring me since it will be my first assembled armor. There are so many little things I just know that I am going to screw up you know. But I'm trying.

Figure to introduce myself since I have been watch the threads for sometime now. My name is Jerry from central Massachusetts. I have been on again and off again for the last year or so with my Galactic Marine (either my 2 year old or work had me busy). Since my venture to CIV, I became more energetic due to the fact I did not seen any Marines (sorry if anyone was there in costume, didn't see ya). I just finished my fully handmade pants, boots half done and misc parts in progress. Just want to say this site is a very valuable tool we I get stuck with something. Hoping to finish it by Halloween so I can take out my son for his first candy barrage. Well keep up the good work. Long live the Marines.

Welcome to both of you guys. Marines rock! And then kill...And then party all night.
aztag109, where in Illinois are you? I live in Illinois also, on the northeast stateline (Illinois side) north of Zion and WAY north of Chicago.
