It's not too far off, but the assembly is kind of scaring me since it will be my first assembled armor. There are so many little things I just know that I am going to screw up you know. But I'm trying. "Measure twice, cut once", best bit of advice I've learnt. Take your time and you cant go wrong

I have trouble with that. remember, if you f up then youre going to have to use a lot of bondo and that's never fun

I don't think anybody COULD suck as bad with bondo as I do. Although, I may not have got the right stuff. It's a 2-part mix, but I got it at walmart in one of the automotive aisles.

bondo is an automotive filler and mine has the putty and the hardener is kept separate in a tube

I know what it is and all that, I was just saying that there was a discussion a little while back on ct.net and some guys were saying that there was a few types of bondo that were a little better than others. And I know that I suck with bondo and need to practice with that, but I was curious if the stuff I have is also a factor.

My username is the pronounciation of my real name, which is Camonie. I am a long time fan of SW. Every since I saw the GM in the RotS, I have been trying to find info about them and how to construct a GM costume. I have never made armor of any kind before and would appreciate any help and/or advice anyone can give me.

Welcome to the marines. Our working are from 9-5 on monday - thursday. Bacara likes Fridays off.
You said that you have never made armor. Don't feel bad. While it's very fun, many people here (myself included) do not YET have a fully finished suit of armor. You're in good company.

kmunee: DonĀ“t worry about having no experience in armour building. Look at our myspace site: www.myspace.com/galacticmarines100% selfmade Galactic Marines. It was our first try and we had no expierence before.
