Ok I am sorry but I got to bring this up again. That grey area thing to me looks like a shadow from the ridge of the helmet, meaning to me that the eye socket is deep and the top of the helmet hangs over casting a shadow or what would look like a seperate grey area. And also to me it does look like the cowl goes strait up to the eye, and the reason why I say this is because it dose not look like there is a seperate ridge to me looks like one piece up to the eyes like it is stretched so tight it looks like it is part of the helmet and not a material. Do you guys get what I am saying or did I make it sound to confuseing???

We have a good pics of a close up on a GM helmet that shows a defenite ridge where the vinyl ends and there is an actual gray painted area.

I think all points from both sides of this have been made. If you want to put on the grey, do it. If you dont want to, don't. I don't think anyone else's mind is going to be changed anytime soon since us marines are so darn stubborn lol

Yea, I think your right I mean it does look sweet as hell with the Grey but also with out, so I say what your saying do what you think looks good I mean after all when your building a costume you should be able to do what you want cannon or other wise. I some times don't like the cannon thing personally. OK I mean I do but I think limits your imagination if you want to do screen accurate by all means do it but if you like to customize then you should be able to do that too with no guff, you should be able to do what you want to "your" costume regardless of if its right or what some people would consider wrong. And thats my 2 cents lol

SGB isn't a site, it's a guy. Search ct.net. That's all I'm going to say.

I ordered my SGB bucket 2 days ago. This is a GREAT tutorial on building the bucket. Mine will have the grey around the eyes. I like how it makes the Marine look that more intimidating Awsome, Awsome thread here Marines!

Jason your bucket is an inspiration to all of us inspiring GMs:-) I'll be referencing this thread during my bucket build.

I am kind of new to the message boards, and did not even realize you guys were here, but i'm glad I found you. I am working on the GM outfit, but I really don't have the time to make a helmet right. What is ( SGB )? And how do I contact this person, or site?
Thanks, Steve

Right now he isn't making any GM buckets. He's working on a Version 2. Go over to Clonetroopers.net and "dig around" in the Galatic Marine forum. You'll figure it out.
