We have to keep in mind that game CGI might differ from movie CGI sometimes! But the gloves have a similar texture in this example. However I don't think it resembles rubberized fabrique but leather texture....just exaggerated as most of the CGI textures tend to be i.e. the duck cloth textures are too rough and artificial as well (see kashyyyk examples). I guess the intention has been to mimique torn leather and as some might know textures on 3D models sometimes tend to get funky. Example: So I would recommend looking for snug leather gloves with a prominent and slightly used leather structure. For the galactic marine it should be prepared with some grey-white dust like powder. I don't know how to make it stick....some dust will stick to the glove some might require additional coating also because you cannot shake hands with people using actual dirty gloves. It has to be flexible non glossy sealing coat if that exists.

It has been awhile for updates but I am driven to hit this project with feet running. Right now I have the forearm guards, bicep, and shin armor drying with bondo on it to make them seamless. While they were drying I worked on getting the helmet finished. I have to say the cowl was the hardest thing to do on the bucket. The weathering I will do when all the armor is done. Right now it's sitting a little low on me because I haven't installed the helmet liner.

I understand what you say about the cowl. I haven't hit that stage yet, but I plan to do it soon, maybe next week, but I'm planning a different approach that may make it easier, so I share it with you. If you look carefully at the Sith Snapshot, you'll see that the face plate is "mounted" or it's over another layer of plastic/something, it's not floating alone like in the SGB helmet. And in that picture, you could also notice that this layer I'm talking about may be of a different, more tan/yellowish color. So what I plan to do, is to attach the cowl only to the protruding part of the face plate, not the yellowish one. That would definitely make things easier if it can be done that way since it would eliminate the need of reaching every curved area with the cowl fabric. The cowl would be mounted only on a more flat surface, without all twisted corners.
I hope this helps, and I hope you can understand what I say. Explaining something like this AND in another language may make it impossible to understand. Sorry for that.

judging the length of the cowl is a hard thing, putting it on with more and then trimming is the best, with the hs lid and the longer beak, attaching the cowl was easy, i used the hair dryer method, heating up and stretching the vinyl worked great, then trimmed it down for the length.

I intentionally left the cowl long enough to trim if needed. It's better to have too much than not enough. I'll do more trimming when the chest armor has been fitted.

Most of the small armor parts have a coat of primer on them. Got the shins, bicep, and forearm seamless. Got my Steelblitz backpack mounted on my back armor. There are still a few things to fix with centering it correctly. The mounting system isn't perfect but it was actually pretty hard to get the right measurements.

Well I found the gray jumpsuit at a fram supply store (had to sew pockets on the legs) and the black ribbed shirt at wal-mart, The gloves I use are SWAT operator gloves I got for work. The boots I use are again the ones from Wal-mart. I believe the jumpsuit and boots are not available anymore but I could be wrong.

Looks great. Consider lowering the biceps armour to fill out the arm coverage better and to leave room for the ammo boxes.
