Ok, this has been the thought of the day for me, so I have several premises to get things started.
1) The 41st Elite Corps has two sets of armor: They have standard phase II clone armor (white with gray stripes) for ship-board duties and non-jungle combat situations. Then they have the jungle armor ("BARC" armor, though we know better than to call them BARCs) for their mission to Kashyyyk and other jungle worlds. The BARC armor is their mission-specific armor, while the standard phase II armor is their everything-else uniform.
2) The Galactic Marines were only seen on Mygeeto in Episode III. They were wearing the hazardous weather armor because of the harsh weather conditions on Mygeeto. We know that their helmet (cowl in particular) is special equipment for such weather. We also know that several components of their armor matches the BARC armor (left shoulder, knees, shins, boots).
3) We know that the GMs fought from ship-to-ship, and even in space.
So here's my question: assuming the prototype SpaceTrooper suits just required the pilot to wear some sort of flightsuit, what would the GMs wear as their "everthing else" armor? I know they didn't have much else to fill up the "everything else" category, since they were fairly specific troopers. But did they have different armor for ship-to-ship combat? Was it standard phase II armor? If so, what should it look like?
My question was brought on by a website I saw a while back. It was a quick little computer-generated color matching web applet that showed the various color schemes on all the clones seen in Episode III. It showed a standard phase II clone trooper, and you clicked on the different links, and it applied the different color schemes to the trooper. But for the GM colors, it just put the uniform colors ON the phase II trooper.
It looked really, really badass. I think it was on one of the non-American garrison sites. I'm not sure.
