im a bit new to working from scratch , but ive made my helmet from a horse riding helmet , i then extended the length using fibre glass , and made the face from bending a sheet of 2mm plasticard . , !! then !! i found your site and the measurements are a little smaller than specified, but i think it comes off ok

Those look very good. Thanks for sharing. BTW what is with your wicked pouches? Where did you get those?

the pouches I paid £1 each for , they are sort of camera/game console cases , i used white shoe polish on them to whiten them up ,
I wanted actual working pouches as we give cards , stickers keyrings ,and stuff at troops, non canon but i think it works ok
just got to sort out some boots , i bught rubber wellies to modify , but nothing seems to stick paint nor fabric
and of course the correct gun

Congrats on the gun and stuff. As a DC-15S owner (carbine), I must say that the experience is like none other. Droppin' droids at 20 paces...Oops, sorry, just got lost in the moment again. Anywho, I am with you on the functional pouches thing. That's what I am doing. Until I get into the 501st, they will probably just hold my wallet and house keys, but eventually cards and official stuff would be cool too. Show some pics of the boots. I am curious

Looking good ukmarine, you've definitely proven that you don't need big bucks to make a great looking costume

What do mean "makeshift" chest plate? It looks fantastic! What did you make it out of? I think you win the award for fastest GM costume and maybe cheapest too.

Nice job on the costume. Like Toyhunter said, it looks good, but I am very impressed at the time it took you. Congrats.

quote "and of course the correct gun "
not sure why thats in there lol I havent got one yet , not sure weather to make one or buy one .
if anyone does make them could you pm me as i know a few clones who need them as well
As for the chest piece , I made it out of some sort of 1mm plastic i got cheap , it didnt like being bent into shape though so the upper chest area pokes out a bit (but cowl covers most of it) , but it was very flexible and it velcros onto the back piece to provide that seemless look .
but as i say , i will probably upgrade most parts as I go , but ive been cleared to troop so me and MINI MARINE will be out next month
