Most of you know that I started working on mine. Have not had time to continue on it, but I'll post my WIP here. Started off with carboard design (making it functional) After the main cardboard design is done, pack is covered in Resin and Bondo. Then sanded down. Current Look: Bottom pouches too long, need to shorten them down a little: Will continue once I get some time. Until then, I'm going to continue using the Plush Ashoka backpack. ...Yes, I know it looks corny but it looks better than no backpack (keep in mind it's only temp).

Hey Ramz, did you use the "MUD" technique to cover the cardboard?

Sorry I have not replied here in a while. I covered the cardboard in resin to harden it, then it was Bondo and Sand it down. The over all size was bigger than I had planned on making it, but it works well since it is functional. Here are a few pictures from CV of the pack... In the next few months, I'll see if I can get a smaller version done, and try to make a few runs. I'll take some pictures of the pack open, over the weekend.

Hey, Ramz, when you say "resin", is it just fiberglass resin without the glass fiber? I was thinking about trying to do what you did.

Word up, brother. Maybe I'll try to make a mess this weekend. If I don't get too aggravated trying to get the dimensions correct first.

Best of luck brother. Took me like 9 tries to get that pack looking decent. Just wish I would have made it a little smaller. Maybe the next one...if I have time.

Started mine today. Made some really good progress. Still have to do the lid, the det and sew the pouches. Will be trying to get some glassing done tomorrow. I'll start a new WIP thread when I get a bit further on. You won't believe what I'm using as a base form.

It's coming along, but I want to do just a bit more before I really start a thread. That way nobody's waiting forever to see what the heck I'm doing.
