I suppose I can chip in $25-30. I just checked my paypal account, and I have $41 in it. I like to keep about $10 in it at all times, so $30 would be the max I can go. I figured I'd want to have a small stash of the patches anyways.
So how much will the 50 patches cost to get made?
By the way, I'm not going to send my money anywhere until we have definite information and this thing is go. So once the order is sent (or getting ready to be sent), I'll send the money.

I really dont have a need for any more than 2. And I dont collect patches anymore. So trading them isnt really a bonus either. And @ almost $5 I dont want to just give them away either. So I guess for me I only want 2.

I can do a run of 50.....That should be sufficient for demand around here. I will need to split costs though, so I am not stuck with 40 out of 50 patches. I am thinking there's about ten active posters here, and assuming 7 are interested in patches, we could chip in $25 each and get about 7 patches per person. That way no one is left holding the bag. These patches can be traded with 501st members, assuming you are a 501st member, or held onto, placed on your costume, etc. Do I have some takers? I can do this pending what the Captain mentioned above.

Well, I'm currently jobless so money is pretty hard to come by. I honestly don't know what I'd do with 7 patches. I don't know anybody in the local garrison, and I won't be in the 501st until my GM is done. With 3, I could display one, then use one or two for the costume or something.
I'm not trying to discourage this or anything, but maybe we are going a little fast with the merchandise? I mean, we only have a few finished GM's, and like Ianl said, only about 10 active members. This is just a suggestion, but maybe we should wait a few months or something, just to see if any more people join up. I don't think we're going to lose the active members we have now, so we can only gain them. Again, please don't take this the wrong way or anything.

Mando, I completely understand your statement above. What I wanted to do was to eat the cost for the patches myself then slowly dish them out to whomever wanted them over the coarse of time. With ianl having already found a reliable source for the patches it kind of got tossed into his hands so-to-speak. Ianl, perhaps you could just directly hook me up into you source for the patches now that you have set it up. If not I'll once again look into another source and see if we can reduce the costs some or perhaps do a smaller run of 25. I don't mind taking the punch for the 50 or so patches myself because I know over time they will be accounted for. Either way we'll work it out.

If we could do a run of 25, they'd all be spoken for with the current interest, and there would be no one person stuck with the majority. I just don't want Ianl stuck with a bunch of patches because I couldn't pitch in enough. Of coarse, I also don't want you stuck with them either, but if you don't mind, it sounds like a good plan. I might even buy a few more a little later on if I find some people I know who wants one.

Let me check on the costs of a smaller run. I know they will make ONE patch for $45, so maybe there's a happy medium in there we can live with. Scanning through this thread it appears we currently have interest for 25-30 pieces. I honestly do not want to eat the cost of a full run because I just finished doing that for the Legion and came up on the wrong end of the stick money-wise. I vowed to do everything on a pre-order basis after that.

I can chip in a bit. Not right now tho because I have NO money. But if you wait for like 2 weeks I could chip in like 20.

I agree...I definitely would like a few, but I don't know if I need 7...I would say that 4 would probably be the most I would NEED...HOWEVER, if 7 is the best that you can come up with, I will up for that...So count me in...

The patch lady is on vacation, but I am still trying to lock down the minimum order she'll handle. I think she comes back this week.
