SDCC is a month and a half way, but I'm setting up this picture thread a little early. Don't mind me I'm stoaked about the Con. Some of you might know I had a little issue about not going but things have been corrected and I will be bet there (at least on Friday). Can't wait to see our GM pictures here, after the CON!

Nice pics! Cool that you got yourself in the paper. So how did the rebuilt suit handle the day of trooping?

It worked so much better than V1, and didn't have that many problems though my arm pieces kept getting undone, and I need to place a screw on the strap that connects the back and chest plates. Good thing I bought that plush backpack there, it's Ashoka's pack from the clone wars series, but looks like the GM pack a lot, and in the pictures it doesn't even show much as a plush backpack. It helped the top straps from getting undone The industrial strength velcro worked like a charm on the side shim and only popped off once, but a little E-6000 did the trick and had no problems afterwards. I was stoaked when Phil told me I made the front page. The newspaper photgrapher asked for my info when he took my picture but thought it would not even make the paper. I figured it would probably be for the Comic Con gallery online maybe even a small picture article on the paper. Sunday at the Con everyone knew me as "The guy from yesterday's paper". Even Seth Green liked the armor. I enjoyed the 15 seconds of fame. So to all my GM brothers and sisters here I say this...Make sure your armor looks good because you may make the front page.

Hey who's that handsome Republic Commando wit' ya? What's up brother? Welcome to the 53rd! Man SDCC was awesome!!! I gotta give credit where credit is due and V2 wouldn't have been the big success it was if it wasn't for you and Frani. If it wasn't Frani's help I would still be afraid to touch Bondo, and your weathering/battle damage techniques made me look salty. Nice! Also, I thank you guys for motivating me the last few days before the Con when I felt like giving up on the Armor thinking I wouldn't be able to finish my V2 armor in time. Also gotta thank you guys for the Parking at the Con and for getting me a copy of the Paper. I was stoaked after Phil told me I made the front page of Saturday's paper that I ran around the Con Center looking for a news stand and got bummed when I didn't find one. Shortly after you guys showed up and handed me a copy of it. When I saw the front page I was cheesin' like if not more than the people that took their pictures with me. Thanks for loging on to the 53rd, ner Vod. I know your knowledge here will be an asset and many Marines will benfit from your aid. Looking forward to Long Beach Comic Con. I need to take more pictures with my RC brother and the best Maris Brood around. Your costumes looked amazing! Let me know when you guys want to go to the Hollywood sign to take some snapshots out there.

THANKS BRO! I'll make sure my wife (Etain on the CT.net forum...and also Mariss Brood) get's all the fine compliments. I've had a lot of peeps ask me about my techniques I learned in the Art Dept. when I worked in TV and Film. Although I only do cameras and V.O. work, I still have a love for painting buckets, armor and props. I would be more than happy to assist any of you out there via the boards for free ---or if you are too lazy to do your own work PM me and I'll see if I can help ya out for a small fee. Thanks again for the compliments and I hope to meet most of you at the next few Cons! Best, DELTASQUADBOSS

Once again, thanks man. Hey bro, feel free to add more pictures on the Non-GM board if you want. I'm sure the Marines will be excited to check out your RC.
