Dear members,
Please list your candidates for the Admin job. Post as a reply to this thread, do not PM me the candidates. Keep it simple and in this format:
What is up for stake? The Forum Administrator is the person who has control of the forum as an internet website. It is not a leadership role, so the job does not include control of the forum as a political body. When the candidates are decided and the winner is voted in, I will personally hand off the username and password for the admin username. He/She will be instructed to change the password on it. From then on, the new Forum Administrator can change every aspect of the forum, including images, colors, format, etc., and can assign usergroups (such as moderators) and ban members. The new admin can set registration permissions and can send out mass emails (like the ones you just got).
What should be in a candidate? First a foremost, your candidates should be level-headed, cool, calm, and collected. They should be seasoned in forum moderation (since administrating isn't much more advanced) and should have an understanding of this forum and its daily operations. Needless to say, it's recommended that they be forum veterans, but if a newer member has the lay of the land, they can be considered equally. Your candidates should also be members that visit the forum at least a few times a week.
Please do not discuss anything or explain your choices. Your candidate's rep on this forum should speak for itself.
Please do not go off topic and please do not post without providing candidate choices.
Any deviation from this format will result in a two week (14 day) suspension. No exemptions.
In seven days (21 Apr), I will collect all the candidates and open a voting thread.
Thank you for your cooperation.
