I know that Frank (Steelblitz) is working on this over on CT.net, but I thought we could re-open this for discussion seeing as how the costume standards that were previously listed are dated and in need of updating.
REQUIRED:
ARMOR:
1) Galactic Marine (GM) specific helmet with accurate hard inner liner for cowl attachment and accurate white cowl (discuss matieral)[glow=red,2,300](deleted TS modification; RATIONALE = GM helmet available)[/glow]
2) GM chest plate [glow=red,2,300](deleted TS modification; RATIONALE = GM chest available)[/glow]
3) Back Plate (Standard Clone)
4) Left Shoulder (GM/BARC style-specific)
5) Right Shoulder (GM specific; TB-style with straight-cut bottom and raised details)
6) Bicep (Standard Clone)
7) Elbow (Standard Clone?); possible new reference has surfaced regarding the elbow(s). This is from a high res screen grab by FBK on CT.net:
8) Forearm (Standard Clone, no compad)
9) Handplates (Standard Clone)
10) GM knee plates with strap attachment greeblies (GM/BARC style-specific; check with Ep3 grunt CRL to gain consistency on knee greeblies)
11) GM shins/calf (GM/BARC style-specific with 2 white straps and 4-black buckles per shin [2 adjustment buckles, 2 quick-click type found on outer aspect of calf)
12) Toe/Boot armor with raised details (GM/BARC style-specific)
13) Correct Clone elbow and knee straps (1 knee strap possibly gray)
Armor Accessories
1) Accurate chest greeblies (3; round, oval, and small raised details; not inset)
2) Chest bandolier (black leather?)
3) Chest boxes (4 total; 3 similar, 1 unique)
4) Bicep ammo strap (same as knee strap); white with weathering? or white outer and gray inner/raised sections?
5) 2 bicep ammo boxes (smaller in size than those found on chest)
Soft Parts
1) Upper body covering: black Under Armor or equivalent or ribbed turtle neck
2) Clone-style neck seal or equivalent (possibly not "required" because cowl will hide anyway)
3) Lower body covering: light to medium gray pants that extend upwards to at least the lower edge of the chest armor with cargo-style pockets with straight-edge flap on anterior aspect of thigh; back closure; no seams on front panel
4) black leather or leather-like gloves
5) shoulder pads/pauldron that do not extend significanlty past shoulders (whether they are individual pads vs. a one-piece pauldron is debateable)
6) kama with white straps; with or without white rank striping; kama has a slit in the back.
7) GM accurate belt with GM specific "buckles"
8) Two (2) large belt pouches
9) Two (2) small belt pouches
10) Acceptable boots; tan sole with acceptable sole shape, extend up calf to at least the bottom of the shin armor
RECOMMENDED:
1) Weathering; suggested weathering style is black wash or layered weathering using dark gray or black undercoats. Minimize or eliminate bright silver metallic weathering
2) Clone shoulder straps
OPTIONAL:
1) GM specific backpack (this is debateable given that the GM in BF2 does not have a backpack. In that case, I do believe that the backplate insert has different details and is black.)
1) DC-15L Long Rifle
2) DC-15S Carbine
3) rotary gun (as seen in BF2)
I'm sure I missed something, so others please chime in!
