Hey guys. Just wondering what's the best way to work on the Shins? I know some people use verlco to attach them. I'm not sure if it's because I have fat calfs, or if there is a technique to make the close but I can't do that with mine. I don't care much about makeing them seamless or not, but I don't like that gap between the front and back. Even with the straps on, they still don't close (They can barley close at first but will losen up as I walk). When I trooped in it, I had the outside as close as possible, but the gap on the inner calf was bigger. Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Thanks -RamZ

Looks like you need to shim them. I had a friend who used vertical blind pieces on her TK to act as a bridge between the two pieces...dunno if that helps. I haven't gotten to my calves yet. *shrug*

This is another spot on the armor that you can use the no parking/handicap parking signs. I had to shim EVERYTHING on my clone armor. LOL

I know that I haven't gotten to that stage yet, but I think that the GM shins are one of the few pieces that look like they work a certain way in the movies, and actually could work that way in reality. I speak of course of the straps. I am going to try the straps that already have to be there as a detail piece (looks wise) to actually hold them together. Someone makes white nylon webbing (there is a military surplus store that I go to that has it).
