Found it first here: www.rebelscum.com/Then clicked on the link to get a closer look: animepunch.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=139235#139235The trooper on the package artwork is NOT A GALACTIC MARINE. Don't any of you think for a second that it is either. Some jack hole artist at Hasbro got lazy and tried to photo-edit a GM together by using (probably) a 327th trooper as the base, and then tried to photoshop a cowl onto a Phase II helmet. Just wait a few more days, and you'll see this explode all over the rest of the net. "GMs have Phase 2 helmets under their helmets! They carry pistols! They have normal clone belts! They don't carry backpacks!" Of course, we know better here, boys. We *study* the GM.

I totally agree Captain. I have to admit though that that is one AUSOME looking clone. It is a mix between GM and CT I am really impressed by the artwork the colors and even really ausome. But no I get your point. If you have studied the GM as long as we have than you know better.

I also completely agree. I might pick one up but I don't know. What I don't get is that Lucas always appears to be SO anal about the continuations of the stories so that nothing is contradictory and how everything Star Wars that gets released has to be personally approved by him. So what's with the figures? They really totally non-canon stuff. I mean some of the stuff is cool, but it's not canon. What's up with that?

Please keep in mind, there is an ever-expanding Expanded Universe, and people are taking that to be a BAD thing more and more, and I don't like it. The Expanded Universe is official and should be as respected as the movies. Only the movies are canon, nothing else has to be, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. In fact, far from it.. Hasbro is taking artistic liberties with the figure's paint scheme, as it's within reason and should be understood to have various types of troopers under the same Legion. So it's all within the realm of possibility, and that's what Lucas is approving. Remember, The EU is not some transparent BS marketing tool, its a very critical part of the Star Wars legacy, so let's try to keep open minded about the stuff that's not "canon" because very little of Star Wars is actually "canon."
That aside, I'm actually eager to get that figure, I just don't like the artwork on the package because it's as wrong as you can get. I even confirmed with the Rebelscum guys, and they said it is indeed just a cheep, crappy, QUICK photoshop chop job. Apparently Target was hassling them so much that they rushed with the packaging.

Don't get me wrong dude. I LOVE the expanded universe. I wasn't knocking the EU I am just confused how Lucas can be so anal about official things and let the figures go like that. To me figures make things sort of official. I really don't have a problem with anything like these figures, I agree that they are cool and I will probably buy some, I was just confused as to why they would take REAL clone parts, mix them up and call them official. As you guys said, we've done our research, and maybe I'm just sounding like a whiny bitch, but to me, to release a figure as EU or as an as-of-yet-unseen next generation trooper is cool, but to call it a "Galactic Marine" and not be an accurate GM is just weird. Not bad, just weird. That's all I'm saying. I personally (armor also) like the idea of a GM with a normal clone belt and no backpack (a la Battlefront 2 commander).

This is true - and with no more "new" SW movies coming out, this type of stuff will be happening alot more in the future. Anyway - I really like the look of the figure and it's colors and I always like Mace's purple light saber other than green or blue. Here are some more pics for everyone - I think this clone variant is interesting to say the least.

That paint job is pretty sweet! Although I don't like the mantle being purple, it just doesn't look right to me. Every other detail looks cool though.

I like the color scheme a lot. I also like the look of the (basically) all white Marine.

Whoa, if you look on the package, the clone appears to be wearing a Phase II bucket with the veil-resprtator over it

I just noticed that too. It's almost like a CG bug because it looks like the back of the Phase II and the sides of the Phase II but the front cowl has the look of fabric not plastic. It's like they couldn't decide. With the combination of the way that looks, it ALMOST looks like the Neyo bucket.

See first post, guys. There is a writeup on the artwork. It's not a GM: It's a crappy photochop of a 327th trooper. I even confirmed this with the rebelscum.com guys. They're supposed to be out already. Target exclusive. I haven't seen then either, though. :/

I'll admit I really haven't looked, but I think I would remember if I just casually saw them.
Capt., I noticed the first post's discussion of the artwork AFTER I posted my reply to comm. voltaire.

Yesterday I found all 6 of the Order 66 packs. They are awesome. I got the Anakin and 501st Airborne and the Mace and GM. What's REALLY cool is that the Mace figure is probably the NICEST cloth figure I have ever seen. For Anakin and Mace, if you squeeze their legs together their arms move like to block a strike from a lightsaber. VERY NICE.
Here's the thing though, there are two things that I didn't read about the packs that would help you guys in finding them. They are (as previously indicated) a Target exclusive, BUT I did NOT find them in the toy aisle. There was no tags or anything in the toy aisle. I found them up on a small end cap by the registers. (They are $10 by the way).
The other thing is that they are SMALL. I mean, the figures are regular (3.5") sized but from the pic at the top of this page, I thought that the boxes would be BIG. They are only like 5" tall and about 5" in diameter (SMALL!). Hope this helps you guys.
