i was wondering what people are useing to make the larger belt boxes on the front of the belt

Putting fabric on TC belt boxes an then turning it up side down.

No, the GM pouches are larger than the front TC boxes. You can certainly put TC belt boxes into the GM ones, but the GM ones are bigger. They are taller by at least an inch, and about an inch thicker (front to back). The width is about the same, but maybe 1/2" wider.
I used a block of foam wrapped in vinyl for mine.

Not all TC belt boxes are created equally. The ones I have are pretty large and will work just fine.

also depends on persons size too vinyl foam wrap be the cheapest way in case of sloten items there seams to be alot of that happing lately dragon con tk boots got swiped

Looks like you could also get a project box from Radio Shack, add a wedge of foam to the bottom of it, add vinyl, and make them semi-functional.
