Yes boys and girls. There are two styles. One with the white stripe and one without. For ref I provide the following. No stripe.... Far left stripe. I fact I think you can see BOTH types in the lower pic. So would the addition of a stripe denote rank? I think so. The one with the stripe gets killed first. Why? Certainly there were others that were closer to the Jedi. But this guy got it first. The stripe must be significant in some way.

Well, it does make sense. The grunts would be out on point and the ranked GM would be in the center or rear to issue orders. Nice find, seems there are a lot of Easter eggs I think it does denote rank, Now what does his shoulder armor look like? Is this the GM with the odd shoulder bell as well ?

That's their right shoulder bell. Please take that part of the discussion to the proper area of the forum, so we can keep things nice and neat.

it was posted to see if anyone could say if the kama with the stripe was associated with the wearing of that particular bell. I wasn't trying to stimulate a discussion about the "bell" in particular.

Oh don't worry about it, I just noticed several posts in this thread relating to the shoulder bell, didn't want it getting this thread off track.

I was planning on adding the white edging on my kama. Of course I only plan on carrying the carbine too, so maybe that works out good!

I actually didn't want to add the white trim to my kama, but I guess that means I'll have to go all out and build the long rifle.

In the top image to this thread, it seems to me that there is indeed a border, it's just not white. It looks like the border is the same color as the kama, but there is a definite seam line between the edge and the rest of the kama, indicating some sort of border (colored, same, or otherwise).

Hey since we are on the subject I want all of you to notice something in the first and second pic. The way the Kamas are "wrinkling"/flowing as the GMs run the way how vinyl is so stiff it would be impossible for the Kamas to be vinyl. Another note on this is in the second pic if you look at the texture of the Kamas I do not beleive that to be vinyl. Do remember though that these are my opinions. I just wanted to point out that I think and have proof that the Kamas are made out of some sort of cloth most likely wool or fleece and not vinyl.

Also keep in mind that this is CG, so we're not dealing with real materials. We're converting essentially something non-existant into our best guess. So there will be no right or wrong way about it.

Also, I wanted to note that this kama does not behave in one particular manner. It crinkles. It stays smooth. It flaps. It flows. Therefore it acts like cloth of various kinds, and it acts like vinyl. Sith Snapshot #1 shows a very smooth, seemingly textureless kama with an off-white border. Screenshots and cardbackings show otherwise. So it's all a matter of which way you would prefer.
As such, let's try to stay away from "this seems more right," and instead just create a list of available and supportable options.

I'd rather go with the burgandy border instead of the white for my kama.
And on the subject of material choices, I like vinyl better, it just seems more "armor-like" and protective. Plus look at the cowl. It flows like a soft wavy fabric, but looks like vinyl.
