For the belt, what is the accepted width for the white belt? Looks like either 2" or 2.5".
And for the buckles, any ideas on what to make those out of? They look like oddly shaped padlocks.

I'll actually be redesigning my belt buckles sometime soon, so don't take mine to be accurate. Mine are a good 3/4" thick, and they should actually be thinner. I suppose I could whip up a 3d model first.
My belt is 3" wide. It can probably go down to 2.5" inches wide, but I wouldn't go over 3" or it will look TOO wide.

If you get a suitable copy of the belt buckles, any chance of making resin casts of them?
And I'll probably be going the thicker the belt the better, since I have a long torso.

here is a picture of my belt buckles. They are made out of wood and plastic and spackling putty. I cut the base out of plastic the epoxied the wood to the base. the have blue tape all around the because I taped them to the belt before painting them (STUPID).

These look really good! These are close to the shape I was going to go for on my v.2 belt buckles.

I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread, but what is everyone using for the clips that connect the kama straps to the d-ring under the buckles? I've been looking around today at those keyring-type things, with the nub that you pull and the clip opens, but they all seem too big and bulky compared to the screen shots. Plus they all have round backs, instead of a flat bar to loop the straps through.

Suspender clips. That is what you are looking for. They are the perfect size and shape and if you pick out the right ones (like i did) they might have a design on the back that adds to the look.

Ah, thanks alot bro! I'll have to run back up to Hobby Lobby. I know I saw a few different packs of suspender clips when I bought some d-rings.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but what I found doesn't really warrant a new one. I've been staring at the high res shots of the gm cardback for a while because of the nice lighting, and I've come to the conclusion that the belt definitely isn't white. It's more of a brown/beige color. Ironically, this would be something that the guys who made BFII got right. Anyone else seeing this?

Yep, I'm definatly seeing the same tan-ish color that the 4 small pouches on the backpack are.
