I'm going to use this thread to post my buildup pics Dec 19/07: Here is my chest greeblies I casted from resin, I sculped them from plastecene and made silicone molds. Still need some edge cleanup but I think they turned out pretty good. Working on the chest buc for vacforming now.

Nice job. I really want to learn how to do resin casting to be able to do pieces like this.

nope, it definitely is irregular. It'll probably look better weathered and painted though

What do you guys mean by irregular? Can you elaborate?

Just my take, but it looks wider and rounder on the right side, and there seems to be a counter-curve where it changes direction minutely on the top edge.
As apollo has stated, however, it probably will be unnoticeable when painted and weathered.

it seems a very nice pull, no orange peel, looks great! i think they are a bit too large though, the front part should be narrower

Sorry I disagree with you there Snowflake. For one I have a husky frame and built them to fit me (comfort is important too), If I made them narrower they wouldn't fit right. They also line up perfectly with my shin ridges. I'll post a picture to show what I mean later.

ok i understand what you mean, mine are narrower and i have a large knees as well... i'll go for accuracy instead of comfort (god, help me! aha haha)

lol, yeah, I'm with snowflake. I built mine pretty narrow. We'll see how they work. I hope to glass them up and get ready to pull the first mould up this week.
