Ok I have finally gotten around to start to assemble my marine. I only had a few minimum parts before and I am starting to get everything together. I just received my knees and shoulder bells (yes bells, plural) from M.___. I was wondering if the bells look a little small. Please comment! Close up of the left shoulder and top left of the shoulder: (and yes that is tape holding it to my shoulder)

Throw on the bicept pieces you have and (if you got a set) some shoulder pauldrons. Then we will be able to see better if the larger ones are better.

yea it will be easier to tell the proportions with something else to reference them against. Right now I don't think it looks too bad though

I don't have the pauldron yet (making a custom leather one myself) but I do have some biceps. The bad part is that the biceps I have are JM and the ones I will be using are MG. I can still get some pics though. Any little things help sometimes.

Hmmmm. The shoulder bell really does look small. Now I have never held one of Mike's shoulder bells in my hands so I have no idea how big or small they are. Personally I think it would look better to have a smaller shoulder bell than a larger shoulder bell. Mine is too big for me and it looks awkward.
I think it looks ok Jason.

I don't think It will look as small when that bicep gets pulled up under it though. It will also sit a bit farther out from his shoulder on the final product so I think that's a good size

I agree Apollo, it probably will look better with the bicep properly made (or made at all in this case) and tucked under. Also you guys keep in mind that I just got them, they are not sitting all the way down on my shoulder because they need to be trimmed. I am going to trim them (yes I have two, one for regular GM one for airborne marine (I told you guys I would be doing that )) tonight and will try to put some pics of it trimmed on my shoulder up tonight.

Jason, the armor's like pieces of a puzzle. It never really looks right untill it's all put together. But so far, it looks great! I agree though, once you have it all trimmed up, and maybe a mantle to compare to, it should look better.

I just got done a few minutes ago trimming one of my shoulder bells and both of my knee plates. Just the rough trim though. I will pics of the trimmed shoulder bell and a correctly placed bicep (bicep half) on me up in a few minutes if you care to see. Give me like 5 minutes.

Oh yeah, dude, with it all in place, the shoulder bell looks fine. The other shoulder modification looks promising as well. Man, I'm going to have to have two diff. GM suits also, just so I don't feel left out!

Nice. I should have worded that better. I don't mean two completed different whole armor sets. I just mean a few pieces here and there like the Capt. just to keep it interesting. And I AM going to be getting a hippo ver 5 airborne helmet and paint it in marine colors.
