Its made from Mdf or some kind of fiber wood and bondo covered with Primer. I'll fill in the dimple there, thanks for telling me.

MDF. What a wonderful mold making material. Here is a suggestion though for later if you ever start making the big molds. To save on money and time I would use floral foam sand it down to shape and then cover in woodfiller or BONDO. either one will work I use woodfiller personally I am a HUGE woodworker guy. I make chairs and candle holders and I even help over at my friends cabinet shop. The point is it looks good and I am thinking of revising my hand molds.

Heres the first and second pulls and a paper model of the forearm that will soon be a mold. Thanks Tk Young for the advice.Of coruse, for the forearm I'll change it a bit to make it better.Unfortunately I do not have any paint for it,I'll have to paint it later on when I have the right color. (The first pull.)

Looking good so far bro. Did you happen to use a program called 'Pepakura' to make that arm piece? It looks very similar to the way that program prints out it's paper patterns. Oh, and happy birthday!

I was wondering how that Pepakura was working out for you? I can't open up the files on the clonetroopers.net They won't open for me. Oh well I guess worse things could happen.

No I have the downloaded version. It is not the fact that Pepakura won't open it it is that my computer can't open up the link that Weps posted on the net.
Oh how could I forget Happy Birthday!
P.S. could you post pics of your vac former machine? I am interested to see what it looks like. Thanks, Preston

Preston, have you tried right-clicking and "Save As" to download it? Probably a dumb question to ask, but ya never know.

Oh by the way, I just started to look at your paper forearm and I don't know if you're actually going to use that when you start sculpting, but the triangular piece is too small.
