I started my build before i found this wonderfull site , so all i had to go on was the figure and a few lucas pics for reference my sons helmet was made using a balloon as a mould in which i covered it in fibreglass to get the dome, my helmet , i went for a different apraoch ,, i used a standard horse riding helmet and extended the back orf the helmet like so after filling and rubbing down broadening the ear/sides i used some plasticard to form what will be the face heres where i am at the moment awaiting my vinyl will post my progress

The build looks pretty good. You do need to cut the faceplate shorter andn cut the cheeck indents into the faceplate. Other than that it looks great.

cheers , the indents are there , just didnt show up very well and yes need to cut off the excess length (added to list of things to do)

yep & black meshed it ,
can you advise me on a colour , i think it looks a little red , well compared to the figure

Umm actually I think it looks incredibly accurate. I do use Krylon Burgandy gloss and then when weathering I spray over it with black spray paint to make it more purple but as of right now that color in the lighting you provided looks incredibly accurate.

im getting there eventually , ive got to get it done by 15th of sept for a huge event , made my backpack , from cardboard boxes and soem cheap material (it will do for now )

sorry no , I didnt take any pictures of the build , got alot of help from cap't Ferin photobucket pictures which is posted somewhere else on this forum s48.photobucket.com/albums/f239/torso_boy/GM%20backpack/covered it with the nearest thing i could find to fake leather whole project cost about £8 ($16) made some straps that thread though the back armour 1 strap goes around my chest and clips together , then ive go 2 shoulder straps that come down and clip onto that.,its very secure i made a simple template for the small pouches , will try and scan it for others to use
