Alright, I have had my helmet kit (SGB) for a long time and I know that everyone here is pretty much farther along than I am. I have a question about this. Do you guys think that I need to trim the edges of the helmet insides (like the back swoop) or would it look more canon without them trimmed flush? (Look for where my finger is pointing on the first pic)

The way I trimmed mine was to get off all that flash, but I certainly left the "bottom" side of the edge of the helmet. That way there was a lip on it, and it gave the helmet a thicker look. Plus, doing it this way makes it so you don't have to transition between thin wall to thick forehead area.

I think I know what you are saying. You trimmed the extra stuff off, but left the bottom and side edges, making it look thicker. Did you trim any of the insides (so they wouldn't cut you)? I know that I will put a liner of some sort in there, but did you do anything with the insides?

No. The vinyl covers it, and the way it sits on your head, it can't really cut you anyways.

I see what you are saying. Maybe not cut me but still hurt like hell.

Unless your head is the size of a water mellon and your skin splits by looking at it the wrong way, there is no way you can hurt yourself with that edge. Unless you really really really try.

No no, I wasn't saying THAT edge, I was saying the insides of the helmet in general. It's kind of rough (FG) and needs a liner. Not the edge.
