Sorry shadow, I just completely stopped working on this a few months ago. Very recently I told my self that it has to be finished instead of sitting on my book case.
I do remember the brand of batting helmet that I used, it was a nike. I had to take out a good bit of foam since it is a kids size (XL kids size), so you mights be able to find a better bigger alternative. Just make sure it's all smooth. This thing had one airhole in the top and that's all I had to fill in.

This is outstanding.
I joined this site last night.
This morning, at work, a part time salesman at my store were walking around trying to figure out what helmet I could modify for a GM bucket, and we settled on the nike batting helmet. Then I find this thread, which is exactly what I was thinking. Nice to see it works.
I know I always joke about stealing ideas. This is the first time I have ever done it on accident. I just wish I had not gone to all of that work figuring it out before I saw it.

haha, but don't you feel more accomplished because you thought it up on your own? The way my progress is going, you'll probably finish yours before I finish mine, so post pics when you get started and feel free to refer to my thread if you get stuck (even though it is fairly simplistic)

Yeah...almost everything I need can be had at the store I work at, so I'm saving to do a bulk buy.
I should prolly just do this one phase at a time, and spread the financial pain out a little. whatever.

Just wondering if you were able to finish the bucket or not. I like how it has come along so far, I just hope it's not sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
