Allright everyone I thought I would post the mother mold process. The first step is to spray the entire rubber mold with a release agent. I used Smooth on universal mold release. Next you cover the rubber with tin foil and spray the tin foil with a mold release. Next you add the seperater sheets of paper to make it a 2 part mold. After that mix up your plasti-paste or whatever mother mold material you are using and goop it on with a paint stick. I would suggest plasti paste because it is fiberglass fiber reinforced. It is SUPER stong and it hardens in 10 minutes after mixed which means my cats won't leave pawprints and hair all over it.

how do you work with this ROTO stuff? Do you need a special device to do the rotocast or you just put it into the mold by hand? Is it uretane resin? I'm very interested

I will send you a PM tomorrow explaining the whole process. It is very easy to use and unlike other fiberglass instead of a putrid smell that you can't stand it has a sweet smell. You still don't like it but it is better than a garbage can.

Yeah, that is REALLY awesome. The only question I have is how big is the inside? I have one of the SGB version 1 buckets, and with my glasses on it's very hard to get my head inside. Even without, it's a pretty tight fit. I think I am going to get a REALLY nice snowtrooper vac-formed helmet and use just the back and make my own face for mine.

Well It is based off of measurements of an SGB and my own. It is basically the OSCS of GM helmets. In other words the outside is small. But the thing about it is is since it is sluch cast then I can make it whatever thickness I need it to be.
Oh and I forgot to mention this thing weighs about half a pound. SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT!!! It weighs about how 2 of my vac formed shoulder bells. This thing is WAY LIGHT. Well I am willing to do a run until my mold is ruined so it anyone is interested send me a PM also I am going to try it out on the DC-15 Carbine today and see how that works.

I'm interested, bud. Since I live relatively close to you, we can meet at any upcoming event. I'd like to test fit it on my wife and heck, myself too!
