Attention Marines,
I'm allowing you, the forumites to nominate and vote for a full command staff for this forum. The initial positions are as follows:
CO - Commanding Officer - Oversees all operations here on the forum. This includes layout, adding or deleting subforums; approving, denying, and banning members, and acting as the board's primary representative among the other forums and among the 501st Legion. Nominee should have a strong desire to move this forum forward. Nominee should also want to boost ACTIVE membership as much as possible. As such, I'm requiring that nominees for this position be active 501st members.
XO - Executive Officer - This will mainly be a grievances officer. Take your problems with other members to this person. Nominees for this position should be level-headed. Will be given some control over the board. So basically, this is sort of an administrative position combined with a Captain of the Guard position. Position does NOT require a 501st member.
MO - Merchandise Officer - Since we're not officially recognized by the 501st Legion (yet), we can make whatever merchandise we want, provided that we stay within the lines that the 501st Legion operates in and keep it relatively low-key. This officer will be able to create merchandise for the purpose of promoting the forum. I'm requiring this position to be for 501st members only because the merch can and probably will travel to other boards, and thus we need a 501st member to handle this.
Addition positions may be created at the behest of your new command staff. Representative positions and bodies may also be created (such as an official CTN representative, BSN rep, etc.). After your new command staff is in place, I will no longer manage the board accept from the sole position as board administrator ONLY.
Please nominate members for these positions IN THIS THREAD. If you nominate someone, please PM them in case they don't see it here. You may nominate yourself so long as you fit the requirements of the position. If you nominate yourself, please give a statement to support your desire to lead the board. If you nominate someone else, please state your reasons why.
Nominations will last until 11:59pm November 17th, 2007. Any nominations after that will be disregarded. After all nominees have accepted their nominations, we will hold voting. After the votes have been tallied, I will get with the new command staff and discuss their roles with them before we announce who's won. Your new command staff should be in place before the new year!
Please do not nominate me. I am board administrator ONLY. I'm considering "board administrator" as sort of a background command staff position.
