Yes they look different but,I think we also have to remember these are CGI characters that never existed now if these characters were real & costumes existed like stormtroopers we could pick them to pieces. But these costumes didn't exist and each image we find will be different from the next so we much not look to deep into images as the CGI matting process will make each alittle different. Just my cents

I agree with Ivan on this.

Yep. It looks to be that way. Luckily it's not a major change. Just a little repainting. Good thing I havn't started on the lower armor parts yet

Can i say please lets not take this image as gospel the chest strap appears to only have 3 ammo pouches should have 4, the bottom pic the Marine 3 along semi facing front appears to have no pockets but in the pic above he does. I feel the Marine here and the ones that are approved are your best source for getting it correct in my opinion.

The ones on the left leg look like keepers. Ahh the joys of CGI. It's frustrating sometimes that there were no physical armour kits created. The different coloured knee straps really bugs me. I firmly believe that both knee straps were meant to be the same colour but it was overlooked. I like symmetry.

But I don't fully understand, because ALL the images we are basing the costume on are CGI!, even those in the movie, so what would be the criteria to use?: which CGI images do we follow and which ones we do not?.
I know that the key and cannon images are those from the movie and I know that there are small inconsistencies within the other images, but we all know that in many cases and for many parts of the armor, what the movie provides is not enough due lack of details or parts that are not visible at all. And that is when the other few "official" images come handy (Sith snapshot, action figure card back, 360 turnaround).
That is why I consider the buckle color issue as another new detail that emerges, like the elbow detail or the different colored knee straps, or even the ribbed shoulder bell (which if I'm not mistaken, it was found in one of these images, not in the movie), etc.
I really believe this one is clear enough in the 360 image. I can clearly see it, and I think everybody can. Now, considering it for your armor? Off course that is whole other issue. Off course everyone is free to do what they want, specially if there is not a hard list in the 501st costume requirements yet, and I also perfectly understand those with finished costumes that upgrading it every time something new arises can be a pain in some private parts, but for example in my case, in which my GM is still wip, if I can, I will definitely try to incorporate all the details possible, and I think that for future costumes and builders, if we really want to go towards a better costume, it would be good to continue researching and contributing with what we find. That was my intention. I'm just sharing something I consider new and that may be interesting to someone.
And regarding the issues with CGI, I agree with that, nothing is perfect, but in fact I believe nowadays there may be more inconsistencies and errors with actual props and actors than with CGI, and I'm not a CGI supporter at all.
Thanks for tuning in guys and sorry for the long post.

I agree with TF here. I noticed the colours right off and while my submitted pics do not have the detail seen here my costume will when my RKD shins arrive to replace my MrB shins. To be honest, I don't even see any member with 8 buckles/greebs per boot. I've seen the two on the outside of each leg, sure, but not the inner ones.
Also, for a character that has existed since 2005 why are there no CRL images???

And thats the prob, the CRL is still a work in progress, so its up to your GML's to approve your GM's.

The chest only has 3 boxes; this image is correct. There is a small strap where a fourth box could be. Can i say please lets not take this image as gospel the chest strap appears to only have 3 ammo pouches should have 4, the bottom pic the Marine 3 along semi facing front appears to have no pockets but in the pic above he does. I believe for whatever reason ILM decided to have the left knee strap gray they made the left shin buckles different on purpose. Yes they look different but,I think we also have to remember these are CGI characters that never existed now if these characters were real & costumes existed like stormtroopers we could pick them to pieces. The bucket has a short flair as goes to the back so it appears to have too much space between it and the pauldron. A clone bucket extends down alot further. But the thing that makes me laugh alot about the images above, is who in the heck's neck is that long? LOL
