Well here we go finally. Time to document my build. I'll start off with a couple of pics of all the gear I have so far and then I'll add to this thread over the coming weeks as I work on the various components of the build. First up the kit. I got this gear from Krazy Ivan as a trade for a TZA RC kit. The bucket is SGB and I'm going to keep it as is without mods. My Heatshock will be the 'accurate' version. I've worked on reshaping the biceps as they were a bit misshaped, some 'bog' (Bondo to you yanks) and a bit of heat and they're coming along nicely. These are the shoes I've gone with. Krazy Ivan found these puppies whilst scouring the nooks and crannies of eBay. The soul on them is fantastic and they were nice and cheap. The toe covers aren't the best. They'll do for now but I'll be making my own eventually. All I need now is the mantle which I will do myself and a set of shins. I'm also thinking of replacing the knees. The ones I have are not that great. I have searched and searched for Rust-Oleum Claret Wine but the only supplier in Australia no longer stocks it. There is not a can of the stuff to be found. I have gone with Tamiya Burgundy as it is the closest match. It's a little expensive, $8 for a small can, but it looks great. I used the same stuff for my Bacara so I know its the goods. More to follow.... Your move.

Can't wait to see your progress. Here in the US my local home depot has a ton of the Rust-Oleum Claret Wine paint, do you know if there are any problems with us sending it out to you? I remember reading somewhere on one of the boards about shipping problems with the spray paint cans.

Question: the shoes are awsome, where on E-Bay were they found? ?

Thanks for the offer mate but spray paint is a big no no to send to Oz. The Tamiya stuff I've got will do the job. Appreciate it.

That's a great idea Nate. Although it might make me miserable if my colour is way off. I'd have to get a batch made up to colour match. Still, I'm all for having the GM's the same tone, no matter what country you're in. BTW, I've got the cash for you a day earlier but no rush, I can wait until you get back bro.
