Well I would make them to people measurements like I do the fett suits but would also offer generic sizes as well. I was thinking of doing them as an overall...only because if you need to wear a black shirt putting a shirt over a full jumpsuit top would not only be a pain but rather hot especially during the summer months. Im in the design stages now so I couldnt really nail down a price just yet but it would probably be in the neighborhood of 125.00 but it might be less it really depends on material costs and labor etc. etc. As for the Kama vinyl woul be cool but most of your vinyl has a white backing on it you could sew a liner on the inside but that would just compound the costs.I was thinking a nice twill or a medium weight cotton..which would not only look good but it would be lighter weight and the cost would be minimal.

The white backing on my vinyl easily took the paint that I used on my armor, and it hasn't faded or anything. So if you get a request for a vinyl kama, you could just paint the inside of it with whatever color they are using.

Jason, sounds good! Definatly not a bad price for the quality you put into you're stuff.
Captain, not to throw anything off topic, but could you post a pic of the inside of your kama, in another thread or something? I just want to see what it looks like painted.

I would be in for a suit in that price range. I think overalls would be perfect, unless you were going to integrate a ribbed shirt in the top half. Overalls will let you mix and match underarmor or a thermal shirt depending on the look and time of year you are going for.
Let us know when things are feeling better on your end. I'd love to talk to you about this further.

SGB I too would be interested when you get to where the project starts to take shape...Good price too...Are you going to offer the undersuit AND the kama as one kit, because, I may get one of your undersuit but I MAY make my own kama...It depends on how things go, so I am not saying anything FOR SURE, but where I am at right now, that is kind of where my thoughts lay...
Captain, I would also like to see pics of your kama...When you guys say the white backing are you talking about that REALLY thin fabric on the back of the vinyl? Because, what I am doing with my kama (for it's own sake AND to hide the white back) is making the shape of the kama but make it twice (two kamas basically) and then sewing them back-to-back on each other : red (outside)/white (inside)/white (inside)/ and red (outside)...Then, I will sew a white border/edging piece (can't think of what it is called) ALL the way around the border of my kama COMPLETELY hiding the white backing...It will look like the kama that avatar has (white border)...
Speaking of which, how difficult is it to sew vinyl?

I would make the seperate parts so you could get one or the other or both if you prefer.. The vinyl I buy in bulk is a nice medium weight vinyl that has a leather grain and isnt real shiny like some of the cheaper vinyls. But the stuff I get has a thin white fuzzy backing on it....But I could easily line it with another piece of vinyl. I think TB got some of the marine grade vinyl that people use for boat seats etc. and this vinyl doesnt generally have a backing on it and can be painted with plain old spray paint.

WAIT WAIT UP!!!! So you custom sew Fett suits? Are you by any chance that TK-409? That guy with the costuming website and he makes all the custom stuff for Boba and the Tusken Raiders and stuff? I know this is an off shoot question but is that who you are?

Nope, SGB is the guy who makes the GM helmet too. I don't think TK-409 does custom suits, just vests and other stuff.

Oh well it was just a question but incase you are wandering Mandoman Tk-409 does do Boba Fett suits. And I did know that SGB was the guy who made the Helmet Infact me and him (well before his medical problem) were working on making a GM helmet my own custom sculpt which I will be posting pics and starting a new thread for soon.

Hmm, I didn't know he did Fett suits too, must've just started, since it's not listed on his website.
SGB, will it just be straight up overalls, or will it have a zipper/velcro closure for a more snug fit?

No TK-409 is Chris Bartlett....He makes neckseals and fett pouches...he doesnt do the suits but refers people to starfortress for them and i dont believe he makes vests either he does have links to all those items on his site though.....
Anyway Ill get back OT .I was thinking of making them as overalls with adjustable webbing straps with quick disconnect clips for the shoulder section and then maybe a zippered or velcro back section to help cinch it up in the torso area...

I know that zippers are not as adjustable, but I personally would prefera zippered back...
