Hello troopers! I see a few familiar names on here from other boards. I'm either CT5579 or HuskerClone on others.
I'm the GML for the Central Garrison and have been aquiring parts for a GM for a while. Still need the boots/armor/straps, the pants, knees, check/back, and the pack - I'm getting there.
Thinking about the all white version (I'm sure there are threads here I'll read in a bit going back and forth about this...) but not sure yet. Just getting started. Looking forward to it!

Hi and welcome to the 53rd boards! Glad to have another interested trooper here as there are still so few of us (something I'm hoping to rectify ) Take a look around and feel free to ask questions, etc. Also be sure to take a look over on the Blizzard Force in the GM section over there and hit up Ken (Midnightrider) about the white version as he's currently working on one and knows quite a bit about it. There are actually quite a few differences between the two so you'll want to read up on that. Hope to see you around and looking forward to your progress

Thanks for the advice RKD! I think its your WIPs on parts I see in places that get me excited about this build. There is only one other GM in my garrison (and very few snowies considering we have the Dakota's and Minnesota in the garrison...) so I'll be the second. Guess I'll go sign up for my 27th message board too

Welcome to the 53rd FAC. I see you may be interested in the Cold Assault Trooper (white Galactic Marine). I am in the process of building one right now, and although it is not a 501st approved costume, I plan on changing that. My goal to have the Cold Assault Trooper approved in the 501st Legion.
In theory, it is a Galactic Marine build, however, there are several differences. There is a thread on this website that explains some, and there is a thread over at Blizzard Force. I plan on transferring information and my WIP here onto the 53rd FAC. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Then we have the same goal midniterider! As a GML, I've seen many characters get approved that are only seen in side items - no different than this character. Let's get this done! I'll check out your WIPs.

LOL Of course I do! ;P It's funny you said that cause I sent out an order not too long ago and happened to send an extra set of these to a customer who oddly enough wanted them in black and I just made them for him in that color without asking and it was what he wanted...got lucky on that one haha

It's as if you actually have the Force..... I'll be hitting you up for parts soon. Since the white GM has a standard clone backplate i'll need that part. Any idea how your chest fits with anyone's standard clone backplates? I'm sure you spend all of your free time pondering that

Any idea how your chest fits with anyone's standard clone backplates? I'm sure you spend all of your free time pondering that I had purchased a redkraytdragon chest and back piece, but after reviewing the pictures again, I realized that I must go with a standard clone back piece. Too many of the reference shots show this. Therefore, I am using an O.S.C.S. clone backplate, and I have a redkraytdragon chest plate. The clone back plate will need a little trimming off the bottom so that the sides line up. But it works, and will look great. I am in the process of doing some small work to the backplate, then I will shoot it with white paint. Once this is complete, I will post up some pictures to show how the two (2) pieces look. Should have them posted over the weekend.

Sounds good bro, just hit me up whenever Thanks for answering that Ken cause I have no idea how they match up with anyone's clone backplates...and now we know. And GI-Joe knows what knowing means ;P

Half the battle! I have an OSCS clone so I can do the same and see how it matches. I was also wondering about the length and its good to know you had to trim and not add. Did you get a long or short piece?
