Hi everyone. I'm working on my better half's GM helmet from Heatshock, and I'm trying to track down a good template for it. I've been trying to get in touch with Midniterider since the one in his WIP looks great, but I can't seem to get in touch with him. Does anyone have either that template or a similar one for the HS helmet that I could print out and use? Many thanks in advance.

Afaik, there isn't a template per se. Maybe midniter can make a common link d/l to his version? I glued mine slowly along the edge. Very slowly, glued then cut, then glue.

You can do it one piece, I did for my CAT Helmet, but the two piece is easier. I have been meaning to put up a thread on how to do it, and have taken pictures, but have not put it up yet. And triming the front of the cowl is a touch and go process in order for it to fit you.

This is the CAT with the one piece cowl, I wrap it around the helmet end to end at the len level and secure it, I then trim the lens area out around the bridge of the nose and eyes and secure it with E6000 or CA Glue, then I trim down the sides of the helmet and secure that in as well filling up the cheek area and pressing the cowl into the cheeks, then I go around the helmet trimming it to the neck ring. I then secure it all down using E6000 or CA on the nose and front of the helmet and the neck ring. It may be a slow process since the glue needs to set on each step but it turns out great.

Dan that looks great, I am the worst at getting the cowl right. I am on my second try and it still looks like crap.
