I am fully aware that Sintra builds rarely get 501st approval. However, I am going to defy conventional wisdom and attempt it anyway. The goal here is to use hand tools the average person can find around town and try to keep the budget below $200. I also want to take it on its first troop on February 22nd. I've got the first templates done and I will start cutting the Sintra in a few minutes. Here's some stuff I did 30 years ago.

Hi Chuck!. I'm not able to see these new pics.
I'm glad to see another Sintra based armor. That is the approach I decided to with mine, but I'm ending up making more parts out of fiberglass than from Sintra.
Have you've seen Saverio's (user: Snowflake) Sintra armor?. It is amazing what he achieved with Sintra. He still could review some parts of his costume, but most of the armor parts built with Sintra are amazing.
For what I see in the pictures of your templates, it looks you are building a full back box in your clone back plate. If that is complicating you, you can forget about it since the back plate will be fully covered by the backpack and I believe the consensus was that there is no evidence of the GMs wearing a regular clone back plate with box.
Good luck with your build! and please let me know if I can be of any help for your project.

Boots look good!
Also noticed the toe armor (as I scrolled up into your thread ), and they look great as well.
Keep up the good work.

Everything's coming along nicely bro The only things I noticed that really jump out at me is the outer shell of your backpack. It appears from the angle you took the pic from, that it's not quite a 90 degree angle bend. According to the ref pics, that's what it should be. I see what you did with the backpack frame and I think it's a great idea. Also, not sure how far along you are on the backplate besides the paper stage, but I would consider making it flat for accuracy. That box on the back is inherent to the clones, but not the GM. Other than that, it's coming right along!
