Hello everyone, So I've started working on the excellent helmet I recieved from HS. It's a gorgeous bucket and I want to make sure that I do it justice. My question is when mounting the shround onto the helmet did everyone glue the vinyl down to the recessed cheek area or did you just attach it to the upper cheek area and cut the recessed area out? Been looking through the build threads and pics but I could not really tell on some of the pics. Any pointers on how to attach it correctly to the lower recessed area without making a lot of creases?
Thanks, Dan

I glued mine down in the recessed cheek area, and then attached the PVC over top of the vinyl.

I did not know that you could use ABS for the cheek area, I thought the vinyl had to be glued down in the recess, is it okay not to use a ABS piece or is that the CRL?

I cut the cheek Triangles to fit in the areas on the helmet (really thin grade plastic), I then put the cowel on and glued it in to the triangle areas, then inserted the plastic triangles and glued them to the cowel and inside the helmet, and was all done. It turned out great.

Heres a picture of the helmet. See how the triangles are down in areas on the helmet with the cowel underneath them.
