Hi guys,
This time I come with a strange question. As many of you know I'm building my GM from scratch, and the goal I set was to have it finished to seek approval of the 501st before the CVI, so, if approved, I can enjoy the convention as a 501st member, even though I won't be taking the costume to the convention. The idea is to become a member of the legion only, not to take or use the costume to the convention.
The situation is that although I'm facing the final steps of this build, I still have some parts to trim or finish and very little time for that. So I'm facing hard and long days of work before my trip, to try to finish the costume to submit it for approval. I'm not worried about the long days or the hard work, but about the mistakes I have started to make or the quality I started to lose because of the hurry.
So the question, specially aimed to those already members of the 501st, is this: Is it worth the big effort to try to finish the costume on time just to be a member of the 501st during the CVI??.
I mean, since I'm not taking the costume I won't be part of the 501st picture, I won't need access to a changing room, nor other benefits for the 501st costumer, so the question is if there are any special activities or benefits or that brotherhood or something that worth being part of the legion even if I'm not taking the costume?.
I know the question is strange, maybe personal and silly too, but the decision will affect the last days I have before the trip and I wanted to know your opinions if it worth it, before I continue at this pace.
