I see your point. The Buffalino Sentinels are not available in size 15. A quick search of Walmart did not turn up the boots we had looked at before, but some new ones that looked maybe ok. Don't know what to tell you there. Let's see how your mod of those rubber boots comes out. Key points would be the chunky aggressive sole and the high mid arch.

i worked on a quick sculpt today. i just wanted to see what i could do. i messes up some but was able to salvage the middle of the chest, and i just wanted to see what yall thought of it, and if i need to redo the part in my second sculpt. i was going to try to build off of it, but im fine with redoing it. any of the holes or bumps i can put fiberglass matting over and it wil go over the divets.

Look at the other helmets on the boards, looks like you are using the heatshock helmet as an example, but the eyes need to be smaller and more rounded towards the inner helmet, any one else have any input?

No other than that, remember the ridge that goes around the sides on top over the eyes, but other than that it looks great!!!!

Spartan, first question: are you planning to apply for approval? or is just a costume for fun?
Second: which references are you using?
Then, the overall shape, when seen from the front seems ok. I mean the angle of the sides, the conical shape is ok.
One of the things that should be corrected is where the face plate starts from the top of the dome. That should be lower. The dome goes down at about 40-45% of the total height of the helmet. Yours is about 30% or less.
The eyes, totally agree with Dan, the shape is kinda of inversed. They start bigger on the sides, and get smaller towards the nose. Somehow similar to a stormtrooper.
The cheeks can be improved too. The bottom of the cheeks or the face plate, ends very close to the lower angle on the sides of the helmet. The beak seems a little big for me.
But there are many quality/finishing/symmetry issues. That's why my question about your goal with this costume.
Are you doing this as a base to start "bondoing" and sanding (many times) until you reach an approximate shape?
Please, again, let us know about the references you are using, if you have enough or if you can't find them.
Good luck

Im hoping for approval so i can hopefully sell it, im using MD heatshocks helmet as a reference but only lightly. I looked at some pictures of the actual galactic marine from the movie and the comics, and it appears that the dome variea in shape from one person to another im using a skateboard helmet as the top. No im not bondoing im just using clay to finishe up the details i got wrong and give some of the finer details such as the ridge.,

Sorry buddy, but I don't understand the technique you are using, because if you are not planning to use bondo, I don't see how you plan to end with something with enough quality: smooth surfaces, symmetry, etc.
Anyway, the references varies from one source to the other. There are discrepancies even within the official references. My advice is do not take other costumes as a reference. HS's helmet is a masterpiece though, but I'm not sure if it is correct to take his as a reference. First use all references, first the movie, then the 360 turnaround and Sith snapshot. In all those references there are almost none discrepancies, so that's one in favor. Specially the front that I'm telling that is 40-45% open, there is no discrepancy there, that's how it is.
But again, I can't see how you plan to end with a quality helmet if you are not using bondo or another thing. How do you plan to achieve that?. For example the asymmetry in the top of the cheeks (under the eyes), on the bottom of the cheeks too, the surfaces, the joint between the dome and the sides, etc.
