@ Dan: i used wood for the shoulder piece and a drainpipe for the front. then i added woodstripes (3mm x 1mm) on it as cooling fins. in the middle of the drainpipe there´s another roundwood to get the pipe in the middle out of the shoulder piece. the basic color is silver and then it´s sprayed all in black. so when it will be scratched one or two times it´ll look like a real gun. hope so !! what´s your emailadress? i could send you my construction plans. greetings philip

Looks alot better, you might want to take in the nylon straps that clip to the d-ring a bit so that they are hanging lose. Kama looks better, did you add abit of weathering to your belt and pouches?

Cool, the weathering on the belt will take care of the color problems with it. Keep me posted with your progress.

hi to you all,
after following the discussion about the belt color, i´m just a bit confused.
aren´t the belt and the pouches white with weathering / battle damage?
i made mine out of imitation leather (white) and would like to weather them ´cause in the CRL of the 501st is written about the belt:
"Armor should be made from white canvas"
so wouldn´t this be alright for approval? i also made the sole of my boots tan with weathering. pics will come.
thank you for your suggestions. philip
