A little but i think it was the paint and the painter If you have a close look, youll see an arch over the forehead area and down the right side, i put a silver underneath and it just wouldnt set. So it actually peeled off and a few spots next to the raised edges where the paint would make something like a cavity and it took a few layers to fill. But we had a snap of cold weather halfway thru the paint, so not too sure it was the helmet itself. Plus side to a bad paintjob - looks weathered and battered lol

Hey Doc, I just see a few things. The upper body should be all black, I put my black shirt on over the overalls so all you see is the black where there is no armor. The lens on you helmet, I cant tell, but they look huge, are they on the outside of the helmet? They should be installed inside the helmet. I dont know if it is the pictures or not, but I can not see the V detail on the forearms, which should be on the topside of your arms aligned with your hand armor (somewhat), again you know about the gray soles on the shoes. The clips on your belts from your kama should be the ones that have a flip over closure (like the kind that hold kids gloves onto thier coats) but I dont think that they have been too crazy over that. And the belt arm strap which holds your two ammo boxes should be painted white. But over all, looks awesome!!!! Anyone else have some help???

Yeah it was just a very quick try on - hell the beers were getting cold Undershirt - Gotcha over the top. Forearms - yep the pics, they are ukbobas arms, just the angle and the way they were turned on my arms as we took the pics. Helmet - i thought that from the screen shots that they looked like they were on the outside as looked flush with the brow. Itll make seeing better since i can see bugger all with the way i put them on the front. Will change for sure. Bicep strap - i just went with the 501 CRL which lists black, i reckon it should be white as well (from screen shots) but as i couldnt get a hold of another SB strap long enough and when i had a look at Ken's at C6 he has a black strap so just did black. Clips - i had those ones you were talking about but they kept breaking, these are rock solid, i know what your saying but like you said i dont think theyll hold up approval. Thanks for the suggestions mate, like i said hopefully by the new year itll be approved, just awaiting word from my GML re the boot specs.

I concur with everything Dan said. So glad that the helmet was the lenses on the outside and not an overtrim. I cringed when I saw the pics.
My critical additions: -There should not be a seam up the center of your coveralls. Will your GML notice or care? IDK. Good luck with that. -The thigh pockets on the overalls should be box-style pockets that have a gusset. Sadly, the CRL image does not show this while the CRL text call for it. Never use another member's build as your reference - even the CRL. You'll probably slide by on this one. -Boost your belt so it rests just under your armour. It is not a waist belt. -Unfortunately, boosting the belt will mean your kama is too short (bordeline as shown) -switch your shin armour. Greebs to the outside, buckles to the inside.
Looks very good.

^^^^^ What these guys said. They both pretty much covered it. The only other thing that I can add to this (and this is merely an adjustment issue) is that your kama should come much closer together at your belt on the front side. I don't understand why everyone seems to do this, but I see it a LOT on almost every new applicant these days. I don't know if it's just me being a nitpicky "Fett" guy or what, but it's almost one of the first things I notice on these GM's (other than your eyes which really jumped out at me first, but we all know that's already been talked about ) After addressing everything else what the guys above have already said, I think you'd be ready to submit with no issues. Looks great and good luck!!

The helmet - the eye slots should have a recess the lens is installed on the INSIDE of this lip the lip is painted grey Nate

Thanks all - Nate for some reason i had it in my head to do it on the outside, oh well silly me lol. It shouldnt be too much trouble to change. With the boot grebs - will the 'O' ring past muster - if so ill do that or the snap trick and save you the hassle of making up those grebs. With the coveralls, most available here in Oz have either a zip or snaps which mine do. Im not sure he will be that worried about it. Things like the belt and shins were just not sitting right/put on properly on the day but will fiddle with them so they look good for the approval shots Cheers all
