Thank you very much TF for the warm welcome! I really do appreciate the feedback and take it all in stride as it has helped me every single time to make the armor the best I can. I'll admit that I don't always have the best set of eyes to catch mistakes/differences, so posting progress up in the forums is the best way to get that extra needed help. As I've stated before, I really love this costume myself so I'm making it not only for the community but for me as well.... so going that extra mile really makes a difference for me. Thanks again and stay tuned everyone, more pics to follow soon

RKD, I've been reviewing your molds and this is what I found. The first observation is regarding the upper part of the chest plate, the section that goes from the top of the flat belly to the cut for the neck. From my perspective, it is straigtht, not curved. In my case, I did it this way. If you ask me if I have proof of that, I do not. As we said before, it is my interpretation of the armor based on the few and lo res pics available. To illustrate I took the boldness (not sure about this expression, it is textually translated) of draw what I mean it in one of your pictures: And the second observation is regarding the cut/angle of the bottom of the flat belly. In this case I'm a little more confident because I think that is what I can see in the frame grab, although in my case I did it just like you and everybody else because I found this out after doing mine. It appears that these cuts are done at 45ยบ but they don't end in the front of the chest plate: they go all the way to the sides, down to the side edge of the chest plate. It seems that they are much longer than most of us conceived them. This is what I'm talking about And here is where I took it from So I hope you are still in time of considering this, but if not, don't worry since in my opinion your chest plate is absolutely within the differences we all have due to the lack of good references.

Thanks for that info TF! Very interesting. I really like that last screengrab you posted up as it completely backs up your claim on both those points. I'm definitely gonna have to reconsider making those changes, plus it won't be that much work to make it right. I'll keep you all posted!

OK here's what I came up with after one failed attempt....the second try was good though. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks and fits, very comfy! Let me know what you all think! Here's what I modified it from the original In this picture you can see the awful one on the far right...looks completely wrong I don't think it's going to be physically possible for me to make it look exactly like the screengrab given the angles and curvature (as seen from that last photo of my 3 chest sets)...not to mention that a lot of the CG characters have bending/stretching armor while in motion (which defies all laws of physics lol). I have a feeling this might be the case in the screengrab regarding the GM chest piece....it's so askew of an angle that it's difficult to tell. I'm still trying to make these wearable in the real world while staying as true as possible to the reference materials and as we all know it's a hard thing to accomplish. Thanks all for your continued help and advice on this!

Man thats looking good!!!! I think you have it about right now. I wear a DL's chest and back. I know that its hard to make some thing from a few seconds of screen time, screen grabs, and computer models, but your coming along nicely!!

Thanks Dan! I was hoping I was on the right track I felt pretty good about this last attempt after seeing it fitted on me and compared to the other previous versions.

Great job RKD!. You were able to adapt what you had (I hope you didn't have to change your mold!). You were also lucky that your flat belly was long enough to allow you to change the cuts. I think it looks better now and it is absolutely within the deviations we all have.
Also, I've been watching the blu-ray during the weekend and I totally confirm the shape/cuts of the bottom of the chest plate, so we are on track!.

What I think?. I think that I envy you. In a few minutes you can pull as many chestplates as you want. That is faster than in Kaamino!. I've been fiberglassing and sanding and bondoing and sanding and bondoing, and bondoing, for weeks to produce only one!!.
Amazing job RKD.

Thanks brotha! Haha wow yeah I totally didn't even snap that those were in the background....just think, that's only HALF of the full supply I have of the .090 white ...so there'll be plenty to go around for when the chest piece becomes available...which will likely be in a few days.
