OK guys, got a quick question for you all. I was told by a few people that the Kashyyk/BARC trooper's shoulder bells are the exact same as the GM left shoulder bell. Is this true?? Just want to confirm and get a general consensus LMK as I'm getting close to starting the sculpt on this. Thanks!

RKD, yes this information is correct, it is not the same as the standard clone.

Thanks Dan I meant to post this sooner over here, but got sidetracked and kinda forgot Well, I've decided that before I go any further with this I need to share with you all a little progress so you can see where I'm at. I'm HOPING I'm going in the right direction, but please let me know your thoughts and if I'm not. I think I understood correctly what Kevin over on CT.net was trying to tell me about the differences between the GM bell and the KS, but I never take anything for granted, therefore take a look at the pics and let me have it. Thanks! Here's a quick look at the four bells that, in my mind, come into play for this GM left bell...from left to right - PGH KS(?), my GM right bell, my GM left bell, and DW standard clone bell The rest of these pics are pretty much just comparison shots that are self explanatory, but I've added some explanation on the reasoning behind certain comparison shots Here's a quick shot that Barry (Banzai) kindly mocked up and sent to me for reference and scale so that you all know where I'm coming from on this My bells Now here's a look at mine vs. DW's bell....simply a size and shape comparison I really needed to see how this bell looked in comparison with both mine vs the PGH and my right bell. I know Kev stated that the KS is slightly longer, but if I base my sculpt off the front view of the 360 CG rips, I think that it's much longer...either that or the PGH bell is much too short (or both my bells are much too long). I'm not knocking PGH's work in any way, merely trying to come up with some accurate results. Take a look After comparing my left bell with the DW standard clone for size, I'm pretty confident that I'm close on the size with this one, but as usual I never take anything for granted and I'd like to hear what you all have to say. So, now with all that on the table, let's hear the crit!

Thanks Dan, appreciate that! You're the first person to comment on this in almost a week (not sure which is worse, negative feedback or no feedback at all lol) I'm already moving forward with it now as we speak. I've just trimmed up the edges for a nice clean look for trimming purposes (for my clients) and then will pull a master. Now that I've got this piece finished I can pull another one and set up the bells on the mannequin so that I can start working on the epaulets. I really felt that was the best approach to take before trying to sculpt those so that I have some size reference for a more cohesive overall look.

Any luck on the boot armor yet?

No, that's probably gonna be after the epaulets. I've really been putting those off cause I'm really not looking forward to doing them lol. I'm thinking about doing a clay base on top of the boots and a completed shin to get it close and then do a quick mold to transfer to stone for the bucks and do final cleanup on those. We'll see how the clay part goes as it'll be my first attempt with that medium.

Cool, people are waiting for those boot parts, the epaulets should be easy.

Guess I'll have to do those next after that. I didn't realize there was such a demand for the boot parts
