Why it is that there is always that one guy who, while you are mindiing your own business and trooping, posing for photos and such, has to reach out and touch you, or in my case begin to punch your armor, while laughing and mocking you??? He used his fists and punched downward several times onto my mantle. I could feel the armor and mantle coming apart, and then my left mantle feel off, while I was telling him to stop and trying to get away from him, and praying that there was no damage. Lucky, nothing was cracked or broken! Big thanks to boba for his fine work on my mantle!!This was my first offical troop as GM 2452. I wish they could feel the feeling of terror when you try to get away from them and protect the investment that you spent your hard time, sweat, and money into!!!

I think we have all been thought it there's always one in every crowd,I have never had some one punch on my armor but poking is the norm so i poke them back and they get that shocked look and you ask them "you don't like that do you, Well i don't like being poked either."

First, congrats on your first GM troop.
I've been there too and seen it with others. It is almost exclusively an armour issue. No one has tried anything when I do Maul or Tuskens - just as my 501st Clone. With others, I've seen all the other bucket wearing members get this 'special' treatment.
The offenders are jerks, for sure. But also, many times they are children that are un or not closely supervised by parents. I truly believe they feel that we are more protected from the armour than we are or there is a reality disconnect that there is a real person in the costume. People trying to grab your blasters (or sidearms for CCs) i also a regular issue.
Troop in groups. Make sure you have a good proportion of non-bucket characters or dedicated handlers on hand and make sure they know what to do. A wall to your back is your best friend. Lastly, and this is a personal issue based on your own comfort level, drop them and put a boot to their throat.

We were in a group with a spotter (we call them Squires) and we at an adult marketing event (No Kids) fro an uncoming promotion. Sucks that grown adults have to act like jerks!!! And it WAS my first GM troop!!! I will have to be reworking the mantle in order to reattach it and make it stronger as it is attached.

I have to add that I was angry!!! But the troop ended up to be a good one, besides the incident with the guy who was a jerk, everything else was awesome!!!

Congratulations Dan on your 1st troop as a GM. Your costume looks great, and I am REALLY diggin' that Heatshock helmet . Now I need to get off the snide, and get my helmet finished and weathered. Are you officially 501at approved? No. 22???

We all get them, Dan. I've had many shares of those people myself. One of the reasons why my build is constantly going through repairs. Nothing we can do about they way they act, unfortunately. People's maturity is often a farce when they mock us of dressing up as Star Wars characters and in turn they act more childish than we do.
On a better note though, Congrats on your first troop as GM 2452! May you have many more troops (Sans people like that) and may they all be great!
