I like the Heat Shock eyes/lens better that the SGB's lid, I also like the full "beak" on the HS lid, it gives you more to work with when your putting the cowl on.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. There are definitely elements of both that I like. I think I'm going to keep my SGB as is, without modification. The Heatshock shall fulfil my desire to have more 'accurate' details. I'm going to look at it as a progression of the armour. Let's say the GM's were in Ep 2? In my world they wore an SGB lid.

I have the SGB and am a fan but can't say one's better than the other. I added the ridge using styrene strips, a little heat and some glue. Bondo at the three points where the strips met. Bubbled lenses caused too much distortion so I swapped in a new flat lens. Where I'd say one has my preference over the other is with the HS which has an (apparently) shorter dome. My helmet rests on my (Steelblitz) mantle and is just right but limits full movement. This may be remedied in the future with a new mantle.

I like the bridge of the nose of the HS lid better as well.
