Hi guys,
I believe that some marines are using shoes instead of boots, so I would like to know how do you handle them with the shins. Aren't they uncomfortable with the shoes?, do the shins separate from the shoe when in use, making them also look bad?. I ask this because I may have found shoes that I could use, but depending on your comments I may continue looking for boots. Thank you.

Some people cut the tops of the boots off, I've seen this with a few troop, and might do this myself.

Thank you Danrodjr. But isn't it better to have at least a few inches of the top of the boot getting into the shin armor?. I'm afraid that if I use shoes, they will be separated from the shin armor, while I believe the armor should cover the top of the boot/shoe, kind of the boot getting into the shin armor. But this is pure speculation since I have no actual idea, maybe it's more comfortable to use shoes and have them separated. That's why I'd like to hear as many opinions as possible. Thank you man, and congrats for your advances in your GM!!.

You welcome, I use the walmart hiking boot, I know another guy that cut his boots for his ARF trooper. its kinda like the TK boot and shin armor. The boots are covered up by the white vinyl anyway, and there looks like there is no separation. The shin armor is different than the TK armor. Anyone else have any pointers???

Eventually I want to use the Kenneth Cole boots (that we are suppose to wear), but until then I am currently using Nursing Shoes. They are very comfortable ...specially since I'm on my feet all day trooping.
