Question for those in the know when you enclosed the sides of chest and back plate is it made so it slides on and off over your head like putting on a shirt ? Not sure if I should do it like that..

Unless you're extremely skinny, I think that would be very difficult (not saying it can't be done, but difficult). I did it with my RC chest and backplate and it was pretty tough to get in and out of that thing. I think you could make a pretty tight seam with magnets...at least that's what I plan on doing with mine whenever I eventually get around to it lol. Something to consider anyway

Mine sides are PVC flat pannels with velcro on the front and back so that I can unhook it to put my chest and back on then seal it up after I have armored up. Works great!!!

Made some progress on my GM the last couple of days belt is near complete needs weathering and kama straps, pack needs a few pieces and weathering and shins need shims

On the kama, not sure if you've already attached it (it looks good) but you just need to bring it in past the inside of the large pouches on the belt and you'll be golden!

Thanks for the heads up, but looks like I will need to replace Kama its too short and wont meet at the spots you indicated. Also Backpack is complete.
