I was wondering if the clone shoes offered by Crow62 on clonetrooper net were appropriate for the base for Gm boots

Sure, you can always end up gettiing them if you're doing the GM build for yourself (as a Temp), but if you are going 501st, then they won't work for you.

Not the best I have seen but they could be made to work.

Do they need to be chunkier? have a more pronounced arch? What is the criteria other than a Tan sole? Cause ive browsed most of the threads and the requirements seem to vary.

Those boots are pretty close. If you're 501st,the best thing to do is send that link to your GML or whoever it is in your garrison who does the costume approvals before you spend the cash on something you can't use. Other wise, you just gotta be patient and keep your eyes open.I found mine by chance at wal-mart,and on sale,so I lucked out.But to answer your question about the arch, yes, the arch does need to be very pronounced,if you can find it.

Besides just posting the image of the boot from a website, I would recommend you should also look around and physically see the boot (take pictures if you can). Sometimes they don't look exactly the same in person as they do on the online picture. ...That way you can tell if the boot is inaccurate right away without spending (too much) money. Such was the case with the footgear I have now. The Pit of the Arch seemed a whole lot bigger on the website than when I got them in the mail. If you're lucky enough this is the boot you need: Kenneth Cole Though, this is a good alternative which most of us use (since a lot of Garrisons have approved it for GMs...You should ask your local Garrison ahead of time though just in case they don't). GBX boot * the biggest thing you need to notice is the Sole of the boot, not the color.

Yea,you can always paint the sole the color you need it to be.

BK is right. You can always paint the Sole. Most GMs usually go with the Tan color. I did at first with mine, but later painted them Gray over the Tan. Reason why I did that was because I researched the Battle of Mygeeto and as most of you know it's terrain is mostly ash and shoot making them gray in the long run.

Doesn't have to be that exact boot, look at the sole. Most GBX' have them very similar.
