I don't like them much, but that's just my opinion. Still, it's worth a try.

Way too much money for not very accurate.

I think they're a little too pricey.
The shape seems good, the sole tread is nice. I think visually the only thing I don't like is the upward curving toe area, doesn't seem 'mean' enough for GM boots.
I found mine at Sears, $50. I'm really happy with them, check 'MY GM BUILD' thread for pics.
The way I look at it is this: $100 or $200 even is fair for a pair of completed, accurate boots. Problem is for GM you've gotta make them yourself, so why pay that amount? $50-60 I think is the right price range. Unless of course you find some Kenneth Cole's, in which case send me an email lol

I am using a pair of workboots that I have, they have a really interesint sole. Nice and thick and clunky.

Way too much money for not very accurate. Well, we aren't going to find "very accurate" until someone develops the KC boot with a tan sole. This hobby never pretended to be cheap anyway. The color of the sole is right, the sole shape is close, and the toe armor will cover the round toe.

Here is a link: www.thedentedhelmet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26849Picture in post #36 So my point is either spend the money on accurate boots or go cheap and get something close. Don't spend $100 on boots that are close, need a lot of work, and will never be accurate.

Believe me, I was really looking forward to those boots, but in the end.... well, it sucked. I know that they aren't going to be 100% accurate, but we need to develop some accepted alternatives for people to choose from. I'd like to see the GM get a bit more mainstream. Thanks for your CRL comments too... we need to get that going!

No problem. I did not know that was dead. I am here to help as much as possible. I have been here working on this costume for nearly two years.

I also try to help as much as I can. I've been here a little over a year, and though I'm a regular on the 53rd (even though I have not been so active latley due to that fact that I work and go to school full time and also currently working on my Demo reel).
I still consider myself a "No0b" at building armor, but everyone here is a great help one way or another, in fact I got some good help that I built my V1 armor in about 2 weeks. Though I had to break it appart since it was a rush job, and have not had time to finish it.

Not so fast That boot run has taken at least 4 months longer than it was supposed to have, no one's heard from REINONE since February, and everyone on the run who paid by paypal has now filed a claim against him. Sad, I was hoping to get some on a future run Phil

The Pit looks small. For $350, I don't like them but thanks for the heads up.
