I feel like I am waiting in line. And I am wearing a shirt that says "The line for an Echo GM bucket starts here" on the back. You are all welcome to bring your sleeping bags. It'll be a while for me, I'm still saving up for my Tauntaun sleeping back, but I'll join you one of these days because "Echo Four" needs an "Echo V1" Bucket.

I pulled the faceplate yesterday, it looks great, Ill trim the flashing, and post a pics tomorrow. Ill then start the back portion. Once I do have the shell made for the actual helmet part, I am refinishing the model, in hopes of having it sent to someone that can mold it better than I did.... mine works, but I dont expect to get many pulls off of it.

Well, heres the pics I promised lol This is the only picture I took of the cowl piece, after a bit of sanding, and has a little trimming, I am not really that happy with it, and after comparing it to the bucket, I still want it all to be one piece molded. So, heres the redo of the model, getting coated in bondo, will start the initial sanding tomorrow. Sorry the wait just keeps happening. After its covered this time I am sending it off to have it professionally molded. I want the best, I figure everyone else does too EDIT>> If you look closely at the bucket, you can see where pieces of plaster broke off during the demold.

Your progress looks amazing, Echo. Don't even sweat the pieces of the plaster. It'll pay off in the end.

Its been too long with no updates, wish there was more to show off though. As usual, been too busy to get much work done on it. A few minor spots of filling need to be done, its been sanded, resanded, primed, wet sanded, sanded, primed...etc. This is the current status as it sits. Hopefully, this weekend will get the filling finished, and the small inperfections corrected.(The bucket is leaning backwards a bit, due to the foam not being level)

Looking good, Echo. Your build has come a long way. Can't wait to see the finished bucket.

Sorry so long with no updates, with the usual hectic schedule, I havent had much time for workin on it. I still sand it and refill in the low spots, in the mean time Ive been lookin for someone that can mold it for me. Once these two things come together Ill have more info for you all.

Updated pics to come in a little bit...
Lots more detail work done, Id say overall the percentage done so far is: Helmet: 80%(Couple dimples left) Face Plate: 70%(Need to define the lines more)
I believe Ive primed and sanded the bucket a good 30 times in the past month already, Im getting anxious to see it done.

Whew has it really been that long!?
Glad to see new scratch builts being done, they look really good, especially heatshocks!
Good news and bad on my scratch built...
The bad news is when I moved quite some time ago, a lot of my projects met their end at the dump, as I was unable to get the rest of my items from storage when I moved, I was afraid my near completed projects were gone forever.
Until this weekend though!
I will be picking up my marine and airborne buckets a friend of mine happened to come across and thought they looked familiar (they have a value as rough models, he paid 20$ for them at a garage sale)
Next weekend I will be reuniting with them to work on them again, and lookin forward to being active on here again(was too difficult being reminded of losing the projects lol)
Cheers!
