Update for Friday Got the rest of the extension added. And the ring around the helmet is where I think it should be by the reference images. All thats left is to fill in some low pots on the dome, and straighten up the faceplate(nose portion kind of flattened out from all the previous sanding)....as well as lots of sanding, and itll be done! And sorry for the double post guys

Update for Sunday: Got the extension evened out, just need to straighten it out a bit more(too much of a curve), all thats left is the transition between the neck piece, and the cowl, as well as a bunch of minor sanding.

Thanks for the comments guys. No pics this weekend, hopefully Ill remember to grab a couple tomorrow after work. Only thing I got accomplished was a bunch of sanding, and cutting the extended cowl a bit. And, wednesday Ill have the materials ordered for the molding process. EDIT>> Heres the pic from yesterdays work. The helmet is getting cleaned up slowly, while finishing up the edges. Also need you all guys opinion. On the cheek pieces, the little triangles, I was thinking it needed to be molded as the helmet, and Ill just go ahead and mold seperate triangle pieces to go in them once the helmet is done, seeing as how they will go on it eventually, will save cutting, and will give them a solid mounting place(look better too hopefully). What do you all think?

Thanks for pointing that out DK. I cut out the eyes and triangles to finish getting them squared off, and once thats done Ill fill them back in for the molding process. My plan is to be able to cast seperate cheek triangles to go on top of the triangle area(hope thats not too confusing lol), so when putting on the cowl material, the triangles will be a perfect fit in the cheek area, and hold the material down better. I was so excited about the extension coming out so well, I over looked that part lol.
Once I pull the prototype, Ill definitely have to do a tutorial on how to assemble it. Ill still also lack making the eye covers, need to put the vacuform table together sometime this week. As I mentioned on CTN, the helmet will be one piece, Ram is the person behind that idea, mainly because I saw where his broke, and I want to be sure mine is very durable and will last through many troops.
