Update! Well, the helmet seems to be moving forward really quick as I found an alternative to the putty I was recommended. The dome is at its final stage, just need to fix some dimples in it. The face plate, although rather rough looks good so far. And the extended cowl still lacks about 3-4 inches. Safe to say in a few weeks it should be done. And for your viewing pleasure:

You are making one for each of us, right? It looks great. My biggest issue with the SGB bucket is the width. It makes my head look ginormous. I am hoping your model will correct that.

You are making one for each of us, right? Of course! It makes my head look ginormous. When I started the model a long time ago, I roughly based the measurements on a baseball batting helmet, as to resolve the issue of oversizing. Once I got my EP3 bucket in the mail, and compared them side by side, they are in the ball park of proportions. Ill post some pics with it next to various items so you can see for yourself. The extended cowl looks awesome like the ILM, my only concern is how well it will perform on troops(being able to turn your head side to side. So Ive had to take that into account as well, and make sure it flares out just enough as to keep from snagging on your chest armor. EDIT>> Well, only thing I could find in the garage was a can of Dr. Pepper, so hope it works lol. And I got it ready to start the ring around the helmet, as well as the last chunk of the extended cowl(just need to fill it in).

Looking good! I'm really digging the look you got going for the helmet.
You know know anyone that has an SGB GM bucket to do a side-by-side comparison?

Thats a big negative. I dont even think there is a garrison within 500 miles of here. Only SW helmet I could do a side by side with is the EP3. Ill try to get a quick pic of them side by side for comparison.

Heres the comparison pics next to the EP3 bucket: Sorry the middle one is blurry, didnt realize it until I was posting them lol. My goal as of right now is to have the buck done within the next couple weeks. Once its almost complete, Ill have the molding stuff ordered, and it shouldnt take much longer to have a prototype.
