hey,
Ok, so i've been thinking, would it be possible to make a costum DC with light/s and sound at a trigger pull. I think it would be an awesome idea. Do any of you and an idea as to achieve this?

You will need blueprints for the blaster, soundboard, heat sync, and LEDs. Theoretically this is possible.

I guess it depends on how good you want your electronics. You could probably gut one of the Hasbro E-11 blasters, or the Hasbro DC for that matter if it had the sounds, and just use those electronics. Then you'd need a hollowed out DC-15 to put them in. The Hasbro DCs are too small. Although, someone did convert one of the Hasbro DC's to look more true to size, but I don't remember who it was. It may have been Toyhunter. There's a thread here someplace. EDIT: It was TJ that modified the Hasbro blaster. He didn't put electronics in it though. 53rdfac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=weapons&action=display&thread=287

I remember seeing this. I'm thinking about buying the Hasbro build your own blaster to try it out before I try doing it on my SgtCardia blaster.

Ok, I bought the Build Your Own Blaster. It is a cool toy and I am sure any kid who has this LOVES it. I love playing with it! Great play features. But for the purposes of this site I will be talking more about its size and if it is useful as a costume piece. Here are the pictures. Here is the DC-17 long Here is the DC-17 short And my custom DC-17 short with the BYOB DC-17 long And my custom DC-17 short with the BYOB DC-17 short

[glow=red,2,300]The Build Your own Blaster is at Kohls right now for $20.[/glow] I just picked mine up today. After a little paint job, it might serve as my GM blaster for C:V. ...Sure it might not be accurate, but at least I'll be able to travel with it. *If you look closely, you can see the $19.99 price tag on the corner.
