Well, I finally have a helmet of my very own ! I just finished up this sucker along with most of the upper armor pieces. As you can see, I've updated a few Items on the helmet like the greeblies and the decal on the side of the visor. Take my word for it, it's accurate. A special thankyou to Jon/Shunned. With this helmet I took a rather different approach to the weathering and washing technique. I base painted the main color and camo along with all the layered damage as well, then I took a drastic approach and did a stain I noticed the BARC helmets and armor have a "light green" sheen or stain to them. Using Citidel inks, instead of washing in black I used a green stain instead then weathered it with pastels and airbrush. I then lightly sanded the edges and weathered it further and sealed it with first a coat of satin then misted dull coat in certain areas. enough talk - back to the armor - enjoy the pics ARMYSCOUT any of these pics good for what you need them for ? LMK - Mike  ~Mike

That is, how do I say this? I think the word I'm looking for is beautiful. That's really quite insane and it makes me want to make a BARC

Oh and just to add, I'm really glad you did the staining. Every time I looked at your helmet on ct.n I'd think to myself that it looked too brown but maybe that was just the lighting or something. Now I know you've got it down pat.

niiiiice. Now i don't know which to start trying to make. (of course "trying" is the operative word here)
again good work.
question: where does one get the glass/foil to make the goggles?
I going to need to pick up a few things when i'm back in the States.
