Awesome job on the repaint. I take it that after you took it apart and then re-assembled it it still fires darts? The proportions are correct but the scale is a little off. But to me, it still looks better than the plastic stormtrooper rifle that SO many lazy troopers use (TK's AND TC's). To me that just absolutely kills a great set of armor. You spend A LOT of time and money and the armor turns out just killer and then someone decides after probably around $1000 on the armor that, $100 for a correct blaster is too much and goes to wal-mart to buy the $20 toy blaster. Don't get me wrong, having a black painted clone dart blaster is cool, but FOR ME, I wouldn't troop with it. I do still want one though.
By the way, how difficult was is to take it apart? I am considering going to get one now and paint it black so I can shoot people with it.

You can't fire darts with the blasters anymore because the barrel was lengthened, otherwise it would have been too small...
The main reason why we modified this toy blaster is again Celebration Europe... You are not allowed to bring any metal blasters, thus a plastic toy blaster was a better option than no blaster at all...

I thought you had lengthened the barrel but wasn't quite sure. It was really small when it was blue and then all of a sudden it became correctly proportioned

Yeah I actually didn't even notice that you lengthened the barrel until you said it.

Can you still get these toys and where? Is this what the GM uses?

Skalen, there is one, possibly two GMs seen using the Carbine on screen. The rest use the rifles.

What does the carbine look like and is the rifle the DC-15 you guys modified above? I just found two of them at WalMart today and bought them. I decided while I make one for my wife, I'll make another set for myself. We'll see how this all goes. What am I getting myself into? I'm still working to perfect my Sandtrooper for MEPD deployment. Don't get me started on the killer Tusken Raider that's been sitting on my workbench for two years or so.

I just found one at a Wal-Mart for only $11. I had to drive a half hour to get there. My Wal-Mart does not carry guns of any kind. Not sure if it is a New York thing or just my crappy Wal-Mart.
Anyway, what did you guys do to the barrel of the gun? I see that both "tj" and "sgtcarida" both have a beefier barrel. Has anyone tried to make a working folding stock on one of these? I have a vintage folding stock rifle and I love the way it feels when it is unfolded.
